   A disappointing experience From the moment we arrived (on time) to find that our pre-booked table wasn't available, to the moment we were nearly over-charged at the end, this was an underwhelming experience. The restaurant was less than half full, yet we had to wait for a table to be made ready. Sadly, this set the scene for the rest of the evening. Our main courses took an unacceptable long time to arrive. The reason seemed to be connected to the steady stream of delivery riders turning up to the side entrance. Serving the takeaway customers appeared to be taking priority over those physically present. The pizzas were also disappointing and both mine and my son's were drippng in oil. A little is OK, but it was too much and they tasted greasy. Each slice was literally dripping into the plate. Not pleasant! When someone eventually came to collect our plates (by this stage there were only 4 other occupied tables), we ordered desserts and were finally able to order extra drinks. When the bill came, it was clear that they hadn't applied the set menu discount and, if I had not spotted it and asked for a correction, we would have been over-charged by £12. All in all, our worst Pizza Express experience. This wasn't a cheap meal, and the overall experience offered poor value. We won't be back.

   @Bain Capital @Allan Leighton @Lawrence Harvey please look at this review about the Chertsey branch and the staff: From stepping into the Chertsey Pizza Express for my daughters 5th birthday on Tuesday, we we welcomed with big smiles from the very friendly staff. My family and I were amazed with a wonderful waiter (Jordie) he truly made the whole experience amazing, not only was he very patient with our change in orders , he was friendly , smiley and understood the situation with us having 4 young kids and made it extremely easy by being his great self. Usually a night out at a restaurant can be a bit of a chore, however, due to the wonderful staff at this branch/restaurant, my wife and i were actually able to relax and enjoy our very well presented meal. To top it all off, the Chocolate Sundae which my daughter still talks about really made her night. I want to say a special thanks to Jordie and the staff at Chertsey Pizza Express. Thank you all for the wonderful night , Jordie you are a true asset to the company, I hope your manager will flag this to the chairman and recognise how skilled you truly are . PERFECT DINING EXPERIENCE Thank you Jordie From Jay, very happy daughter and a very happy family (repeat customers for sure).

   When you have pizza express you know what you’re getting. I went for an American in the Romana style (larger and flatter). It was very tasty, pepperoni was cooked well and none of it was burnt. Service was polite and efficient albeit there were only two customers in for lunch. Which brings me on to my last issue which is the pricing. It’s too expensive. My pizza was £15 (my colleague paid as it was my birthday) but I feel like if they did a lunch time deal for £6 they would sell a load more. Would go again if in Chertsey due to limited choice but in London you can get pizza as good elsewhere for much cheaper.

   Really relaxed and enjoyable dining experience at this branch. Was inviting, well lit and had a great atmosphere. Teen accomplice described it as "bougie". Both had dough balls to start: American hot and Al Forno. Both were delicious, especially the Al Forno if you like cheese. Mains were a Grand chicken Caesar salad and a La Reine pizza. Both were served in a timely manner after the starter plates were cleared away. Both were enjoyable and the portion size was good with no excessive leftovers. Dessert was a Sicilian roulade which was good. Service was excellent, would love to name the young lady who served us but sadly no name badge. Well done, Chertsey branch.

   By far the best Pizza Express within the local area. Very spacious restaurant meaning no stress if you have kids/pushchair with you. Food always exceptional and staff very friendly. Will continue to visit this restaurant over the branches in Weybridge, Walton etc.

   Just ordered take away - and an £80 order Within the order was a Pollo Milanese costing £7.45 - got home and opened the box to find 3 tiny pieces of chicken. Wouldn’t normally leave a review but no one is answering the phone. Apparently chicken is more expensive than gold!!! Pizza express must try harder with portions! Added photos - the haloumi and salad portions costing £5.95

   Great staff and good quality pizza. I normally order a leggera pizza which are low calorie and come with a salad. The team did a great job and the staff were too happy to help with anything. Worth a visit if you are in the Chertsey area

   The worst pizza I have ever seen. This is a disgrace and I would strongly recommend people avoid it at all costs. I am deeply disappointed and hungry, how any self respecting restaurant could allow this slop to leave as acceptable is beyond me.
