Had an excellent meal here. Everything on the sharing platter was banging. My only criticism would be that the steak could've had some vegetables with it. It was however, cooked to perfection and the gravy was excellent. The brownie was delicious too. Fantastic service in a nice relaxed setting.

Well, me and my partner came here for our anniversary after a fantastic meal in the Birmingham restaurant on Valentine’s Day. First off, the restaurant was freezing, but we were moved after asking. We had the Christmas 3 course menu, and the starters came in less than 5 minutes, but our drinks didn’t come until after the starters had arrived despite the restaurant being empty. Despite the starter tasting nice, it was like warm and the portion size was a joke. For 2 people we got 2 (YES 2!) mini pigs in blankets, 2 pieces of Korean chicken (which in fairness was the nicest thing we ate) 2 pieces of flat bread and 2 Camembert bites. This was hilariously small portions for “an American sized sharing board”. Main courses however was were it was really poor. Our Christmas kebab was cold, with only seemingly getting sprouts and one potato? It was highly disappointing considering we know how good the kebabs can be. It’s almost as though it was pre cooked waiting for us?. The cranberry and orange glaze however was really good. The desserts I was hoping was a saving grace (due to again our drinks being delayed and having to ask twice for where they were and we were 1 of 3 tables left in the whole restaurant ). The brownie was nice, but the sticky toffee pudding was stone cold, meaning the sauce had a terrible consistency. All together, £95 for 3 drinks and this menu and I wouldn’t of paid more than 30 on the day, the service was poor and seeming the staff weren’t arsed, the food was mostly cold or hilariously small portions, and the cold atmosphere tipped us over the edge. We loved the botanist for a date night, but we will safely say you’re better off going the Cosy club or all bar one next door, and that’s exactly what we will be doing!

We went there for our anniversary. The atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious! Steak was juicy and tender. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic place! We visited for the first time last week and were blown away by the amazing service from the entire team - especially Olivia, who was outstanding. We were so impressed that we came back again this week, and once more the experience was superb. The food is lovely and in my opinion, it also offers excellent value

First time here for a birthday and it didn’t disappoint! The place is actually bigger than it looks on the outside, with the interior dark but lit well to create a very smooth atmosphere. Staff very attentive and responsive - no issues. The food was sublime (starters and mains), in which I’d recommend the Korean chicken starter! The hanging kebabs were beautifully presented and all relatively reasonable on cost (although you expect to pay more given the location). Great views across to the cathedral opposite, although no parking as such (although plenty of multi-storey options nearby within a 10 minute walk through the high street itself). Overall a great place for afternoon food, not pretentious in any way.

Wow What an amazing place.... The decoration is breathtaking, the food is unbelievable and the service is excellent. Our server today was Bruna and she was extremely polite and went above and beyond. Thank you for this fantastic experience we shall definitely be back again to enjoy ♥️ xxx

Had a great lunch there with a friend today, had a selection of the starters and a side for a bit of a mix. All of it was amazing and very well presented, and great quality. The service was great, The lady I have had serve me before, she is really good and the guy is super friendly, guessing he was the manager/team leader today. He was a laugh as well.

Stunning location and decor. Tables feel intimate and not too crowded. Would recommend booking in advance. Food was great. But they seemed short staffed. Only 2 staff on a Sunday afternoon?? Took ages to get the bill.

We just called in to try a couple of their cocktails we have heard so much about and there is a huge choice plus some seasonal specials. You will also find some non-alcoholic ones that sound terrific. Although we did not eat as we had sadly already eaten before we discovered where it was as we live out of the area. The dishes we saw coming out smelt wonderful and will be back to try them. Great atmosphere in here and worth a visit for that special treat or night out. The staff were inviting and welcomed us giving us a choice of table. Service was 1st class and watching the bar tender create the cocktails showed their creative skills in making terrific tasting cocktails. We went just after lunchtime but will definitely go back again.

Very busy on a weekend, still have to wait a little bit even though we're booked. Once inside, service was great, friendly staff. The atmosphere was great especially with the band singing in the background. I ordered a pork belly kebab which taste great but some of my colleagues didn't like their pasta. Overall, highly recommended but be sure to booked ahead.
