Amazing seafood pasta and I would say this one is the best I have ever had in my entire life. I ordered two pizza and one pasta. The portion is quite generous regarding the prices. However, as you might have seen from other reviews. The service from one of the waiters is below the standard from what you would expect from this kind of restaurant. He took my order, took the finished plates and gave me the bill without saying anything else apart from “Okay?”.

Place with charm as it used to be the Diana’s favorite Italian restaurant. I’ve been there many times and the food has been consistently good. Good thing about the restaurant is the ever changing recommendations and specials, which motivates subsequent visits. The decoration and vibes makes you feel like you are in a proper trattoria yet it is located right in the heart of London. Staff members tend to be Italians, another element that adds to the authentic vibes (although constantly changing).

Da Mario Kensington offers a true taste of Italy in a cozy, authentic setting. The vibrant dishes stand out and the presentation is rustic yet elegant. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting, a great spot for hearty, flavorful Italian cuisine in the heart of Kensington London.

I visited Da Mario in London after hearing great recommendations from a friend, and I have to say—the food was absolutely amazing. The pasta was one of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the tiramisu was delightful. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and most of the staff were very kind and professional. However, our experience was unfortunately affected by one particular waiter (a male staff member wearing glasses). When we asked whether one pasta portion would be enough for two to share, his attitude noticeably changed after we placed our order. From that moment on, he seemed impatient and rude—collecting the menus abruptly and offering the dessert menu without any explanation or basic courtesy. When it came to the bill, he simply placed it on the table without saying anything or bringing the card machine. We thought we had to go upstairs to pay, and it wasn’t until we were halfway up the stairs that another waiter called out to us and clarified. It was awkward and unnecessary. Perhaps he was just having a bad day, but his behavior turned what had been a wonderful evening into a rather unpleasant ending. Still, I want to emphasize that the food was exceptional, and every other staff member we encountered was warm and polite. This is definitely a restaurant I would love to return to—just not if I see the same waiter again.

Good Italian restaurant in South Kensington area. This place is packed with customers. Foods are served quick. Fresh ingredients. Large portion. All dishes are delicious. Price is also quite reasonable.

Da Mario has an amazing history and is well established place. I had seafood salad and soup to start with and then pizza Regina and seafood spaghetti as a main. We had delicious fresh orange juice. Soup was fine, salad was lacking any sort of taste. It was made of pile of rocket salad topped with slices of octopus and shrimp. Apart of one slice of lemon there was no dressing or seasoning. Unfortunately the same were both main dishes. Pasta supposed to be in white creamy sauce. There was not a sauce, only a cooking juice of the seafood. Few clams were cold. It was lacking basic seasoning. I did not enjoy my pizza neither. I was expecting base topped with rich tomato sauce and cheese and additional topping. This pizza was very different. It’s like they bake the base with cheese (no tomato sauce) and few cherry tomatoes and then they top it up with a fresh toppings. The ham and parmigiana cheese were delicious but not my cup of tea. But maybe someone else will love it. Service was very nice. Professional and polite. I don’t regret my money spent here. It’s an experience on its own to come here. Very quirky and interesting restaurant. Unfortunately it is like this restaurant lost its connection with nowadays trends or high standards of new restaurants.

Nice to see an Italian restaurant in London that offers Halal options. Great selection of Pizzas and pasta. The pizza look authentic Italian. Good size servings and the food is served piping hot. Our waiter was friendly and attentive aswell as engaging. Nice interior decor with more tables in the basement. This place is popular so it does get busy. The tirimusu is the ideal dessert to top your meal

Great Italian place in London! Though we only ordered two orders, they both tasted amazing (but I've been before and they never disappoint) I love the vibes and the interior of the restaurant. All the staff were professional, our waiter Alex was very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend!

My boyfriend and I ate here on Friday having wandered most of London (in the heat) and despite being super busy they made space for us outside. We weren’t immensely hungry but as we were off to the ballet needed something to eat and drink. We were not disappointed. The pizzas were amazing, just the right size and full of flavour. The staff were clearly very busy but cheerful and very helpful. In particular a very friendly Romanian waiter who was great with his service and manner. We would recommend them Highly.
