Ordered for the first time tonight. The food arrived quickly and was nice and hot. The four dishes we ordered were very tasty and the portions were a decent size. Very happy with the service.
First time getting food from here and it was absolutely excellent. Food was ready when they said it was going to be, and it was freshly cooked and piping hot. We ordered Set Menu C for 2 people and it is a very good size portion with plenty of food and each item tasted better than the last. I will definitely be ordering again, I’m not sure what any of these negative reviews are on about.
Yet again I support my local businesses ...dishes are re heated over and over chicken curry like old shoe leather . poor poor poor..yet again a few weeks later I give this my establishment another chance...yet again they don't listen after telling them to come with change of 20 quid the meal costs where 25 .70 driver arrived with 10 note I needed 15 change... went back to store still comes back with 10 ...I'm owed a fiver ...I even offered driver a tip because not his fault...the food yet again chicken tough and over cooked...my support is now over... rubber food and bad service
A staff member called Miguel suggested the egg roles which were extremely stupendous. Would recommend! Usually I get commented on my weight when I order but the worker didn’t even look dazed and intact has encouraged me to order again in the future at this establishment.

The best Chinese takeaway we have ever been to. We recently moved overseas and have never found a Chinese that can match Gourmet Oriental, so we have just popped to the UK for a few days and made sure to take the opportunity to go to this takeaway and we are really pleased to say that the food is still amazing. Highly recommended
A friend recommended this takeaway as she is a long-time fan. The food was great - we particularly enjoyed the quarter duck + pancakes, the Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken and the crispy chilli beef. I also enjoyed how Covid-safe the money exchange was when I went to collect it (a little disinfected basket for my change.) I also recommend they make the menu clearer that the duck pancakes already comes with cucumber, spring onions and sauce because the menu makes it seem like you have to pay extra for these and it's great that you don't. I would return!
Tried to order a take out tonight ,we were told 1 and Half hours wait (glad there so busy) we asked if we could get any sooner NO we can’t so we said we would cancel the order, we were told by the male telephoning to GET OVER OURSELVES AS THEY HAD OTHER CUSTOMERS. We have ordered there regularly, last time we ordered in fact they forgot to place our order we rang after an hour to be told no order, the lady was very apologetic and rushed our order through which we appreciated. But will not go back there again after being spoken to like that. Clearly he has no manners !!!! I have since been contacted by the owner, with an apology which is appreciated, we have been customers for years there, no more needs to be said, but we will return for our next meal.
