Avoid this place at all cost. Upon arrival, we weren’t greeted and were told there was no food available and no seating, yet we clearly saw other customers being served and seated. Staff and other people in the restaurant were openly staring at us, which was extremely uncomfortable. Based on how we were treated compared to others, the experience was racist, the staff were racist and the customers. We were made to feel like we didn’t belong and were expected to leave immediately. Overall, a very hostile and unpleasant environment. If you aren’t racist, then avoid this establishment and don’t contribute your hardworking penny into them. They deserve to be shut down.

Very disappointed. Despite being empty when we arrived and very quiet thereafter, two bacon rolls took 20 mins to come. Bacon (2 small rashers) was very fatty with rind and not well cooked, quite chewy, bread rolls weren't nice and fell to bits as if frozen/thawed. For £7.50 each thought this was very poor.

Firstly the food is really nice, however the low rating is for the service. Reserved a table for Sunday morning - the waitress who took the call was very unenthusiastic to the point where I didn’t think she had reserved, when we turned up she hadn’t, a couple had to be moved from a travel near the counter so we could sit. We then proceeded to wait 30 minutes until our drinks arrived, and a further 20 minutes for food. There were also several people with dogs sat at tables, who were constantly barking at each other, why bring dogs into a food environment? There is a covered seating area outdoors, I am tired of inconsiderate dog owners who think it’s fine to bring them to restaurants

A lively and bustling establishment, with a warm and friendly atmosphere, helpful and enthusiastic staff. More to the point, great food and drinks. Thanks for accommodating our party of ten for Brunch on Tuesday.

It’s a lovely spot but I was expecting a lot more than a couple of warburtons potato cakes for £8.95! I was quite disappointed as the menu makes them sound much more glamorous than they were - I was expecting home made. Lovely staff and great atmosphere though. Clearly a popular spot and free parking on a Sunday in the car park opposite, which is a bonus.

Superb coffee, nice teacake and good (unobtrusive) music. A great place to refresh yourself when out on a long(ish) walk. Dog friendly. Very friendly and approachable staff.

We usually go to All Things Nice on the main street but they were busy today so we tried The Locks. The food and drinks were lovely, the waitresses were very friendly and it was a very chilled and nice atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back here as our first choice next time!

Lovely little cafe if somewhat hidden away. Nicely made coffee and cakes. Great bike ride pit stop. I see they do beers as well so I imagine it turns into a nice bistro atmosphere in the evening.
