Walked in the door on a Sunday at 14.00 to be met with an unfriendly 'we're not doing food just drinks'! I ordered a coffee and it was one of the worst coffees I've ever tasted and it wasn't cheap either. Despite there being another 2 hours until official closing time the staff were obviously desperate to get the customers out of the door and go home. Not a nice experience and won't ever step inside the place again!

A super little roadside cafe at the top end of the High Street with indoor and outdoor seating and an interesting view of the menu which is under perspex sheeting on the table. There are a few steps to climb to get to the counter to order food which can be a little awkward if you have walking difficulties however the staff bring food to the table and I am sure it would be ok to request service from the table. I certainly had one of my best egg and bacon rolls as the bacon is top quality and the eggs obviously fresh. very delightful staff.

Visited many times before, however the portion seemed very poor today. 6.50 for a single piece of bacon and cheese on an oatcake.. the staff always seem like they want to be anywhere but there.

Clockwork Cafe is a lovely cafe on the end of the high street (just up from Sainsbury's) in New Mills. The food, service and atmosphere are all great. It's like the hearty, honest food your mum or grandma would make you and it's done with care and at price that doesn't break the bank (which is happening at a lot of places since the cost of living crisis). I would thoroughly recommend the Cafe to my friends and family and know that they won't be disappointed. I'll be back to try the cakes and scones soon!

Friendly staff, order arrived quickly and as we would expect from a cafe. Its a small cafe with a little bit of high street charm. We would rather spend our money with a local business than a chain that dominates the bigger high streets. The cafe was warm so if you were looking for a place to hide from the cold it's perfect.

Went in today for a bite to eat. The girls were absolutely amazing. Amazing food and so fresh. Can't wait to eat my scone that I took away. Also the coffee is spectacular.

Terrible. Would give 0 stars. Waited nearly 2 hours for breakfast even after reminding them so we ended up leaving without and they didn’t seem to care. Others were served before us despite coming in much later after us. It wasn't even busy.

Excellent service from the friendly staff at Clockwork Cafe. The cakes are affordable (and delicious), and the cafe makes for a great mid-cycle tea break!

we had late lunch 1:35 pm on tuesday. the prices on the menu are reasonable considering the portion sizes. my black pudding was overcooked of full english breakfast and that's why I deducted one star. tea was good and strong. A slice of cake is only £2.
