Dan has amazing customer service and made me feel welcome and a valued customer. Food was great and delivered timely. An enjoyable experience.

I was a little disappointed overall. There were only 3 staff and they were clearly busy and trying their best but it meant service was slow. Food was okay, not the best but it didn’t blow me away. I also ordered the kids 3 course special which I did think was a really decent price just over £7 but they didn’t give us the babyccino and it was more hassle to try to get staff to get it during the busy period. It was quite pricy for what we got too. But the lemonade was very nice. Staff were friendly and were clearly trying their best.

I can't say enough great things about our weekly visits to Ask Italian. It's become a Sunday family tradition that we all look forward to every week. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind after a busy week. What truly makes our experience special are the wonderful girls, Niki and Anna. They are consistently friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure we feel welcome. Their genuine interactions with my kids add an extra layer of joy to our visits. It’s heartwarming to see how they engage with them, making them feel special and included. The food is consistently delicious, with a variety of options that cater to everyone’s tastes. Whether we’re trying something new or sticking to our favorites, we’re always satisfied. Overall, Ask Italian feels like a second home to us, and we’re grateful for the fantastic service from Niki, Anna and all the staff. If you’re looking for a place where you can enjoy a great meal and feel like part of a family, this is it!

Only been once and it was quite a poor experience from a service perspective. Bearing in mind, one can create most dishes at home these days or there are other options to eating out, we might expect good service when we choose to eat at a specific place. This was not the case here. First the table we were given was right by the door which caused cold drafts when the door opened and closed (a real problem). Staff were friendly enough but was constantly harassed to choose something from the menu (after 5 minutes), and then a few minutes after that. They brought the mains out before the starters had been cleared away as well which leads me to believe they are trying to literally shove clients in and out as quickly as possible to earn from the table. Nightmare! I felt like asking the waiter if he'd like us to leave because we're not eating quickly enough. Wasn't good value either and the food was mediocre. Will not be eating here again anytime soon. Much better options out there who actually want your business.

Pasta was overcooked, no flavour and overpriced. Atmosfere is very good and staff was good.

Lucky to have got served. Many people had been turned away or not got welcomed at all. Sat just by the front door, saw many people got refused service and some not even been welcomed. Once seated and served, food is very nice. Depending on when you catch them if they are busy or not. The 2 stars given is because people get refused service, I was one of the lucky to be served. Visited on a Monday night at about 6pm. Otherwise would have received a 5 stars for sure. Not nice seeing other people not being welcome or refused service, could happen to anyone. Also, two drinks were sold out on the menu which was disappointed.

I came to the Lakeside Ask located on the Boardwalk for a late lunch with family. The staff were really polite and welcoming and the food was excellent! It was the best experience I’ve had with ‘ASK’ compared to some of their other branches. For starters I went with the folded garlic breaded with mozzarella which was yummy, and for mains I thought I would try a new dish instead of playing it safe with the usual Margherita pizza. I tried a completely new dish - the ‘Purple Pesto Genovese Frilly Tagliatelle’ and it was DELICIOUS! Completely full of colour and flavour I will definitely be returning for this, it’s my new favourite at ASK. All in all it was really delicious food, great location and reasonable prices. Went as a family and it was all so good, we tried their folded pizza and that was delicious, so was the spaghetti. The staff looked after us even with a loud toddler.
