   The wait staff were super helpful and friendly. There are only 2 very standard vegan choices on the menu and I want very impressed with the tart. An hour wait for food was a bit much for burgers and a tart.

   Came here today at 11:20, on my own for a bite to eat. It was busy, but there was a sign saying wait to be seated so I waited patiently at the entrance. It was 11:35 when the waitress finally came up to me to show me to a booth, and she gave me a menu and said she would be back to take my order. I had a look at the brunch menu (served until 12) and decided what I wanted and waited, and waited and waited. Could not get a single server’s attention. When at 11:55 nobody had come to the table, I went up to the counter to order and asked for the lunch menu as there was now no point ordering from the brunch menu, was there? The lady at the counter said “have a seat and I’ll bring you the lunch menu.” At 12:05 when there was still no menu I just had to get up and leave, having wasted 45 minutes at an establishment to whom a customer dining alone must be invisible.

   We’ve had not one but two birthday celebrations at Rocksalt—mine and my mum’s—and both were absolutely fantastic. Stephen, Shelley, and the entire team were incredible from start to finish. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely lovely to chat with, which made both occasions feel extra special. A huge thank-you has to go to Stephen, who went above and beyond to help me set up the TV with our photos. Without him, we wouldn’t have had any pictures at the party, and it truly made all the difference. The staff stepped up and helped me decorate the room beautifully and were more than happy to move tables and chairs anywhere I wanted, making the space perfect for each event. The sound system was great too, and really added to the atmosphere. I can’t emphasise enough how grateful I am for the amazing Rocksalt team both parties were a success. Highly recommend!

   I really wanted to enjoy my visit to Rocksalt, but unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. The food was underwhelming — bland, poorly presented, and definitely not worth the price. What made the evening worse was the atmosphere created by some of the senior staff. They came across as dismissive and unapproachable, which made the whole place feel tense rather than welcoming. It was also uncomfortable to watch how the younger members of staff were being treated. They were clearly working hard, yet seemed to be constantly undermined or talked down to by management. It created an unpleasant vibe that overshadowed any positives the restaurant might have had. It’s a shame, because the venue itself has potential, and a few of the younger servers were polite and clearly trying their best. But until the senior staff improve their attitude and the kitchen steps up its quality, I won’t be returning

   Fabulous Hen Party for my daughter at Rocksalt on Saturday night. The buffet was gorgeous and we were all looked after brilliantly! Thank you to all the staff for making it so special especially Steve, Shaun and Shelley. Great DJ too and the tables were pushed aside for dancing for us. A great venue with professional staff, thank you so much!

   Mother's day Brunch Our food was great, looked good, tasted good! We got the kids some waffle and syrup. It was a cheap option for the kids, however they appear to be straight out of a packet. I was expecting something slightly better All in all though, happy, and I'll be coming again for sure

   We visit Rock Salt on a regular basis and have always leave with a very positive experience. The cafe bar has such a lovely vibe and the staff are always pleasant and welcoming. A special mention goes to Vera whose commitment to the business is both obvious and outstanding. Steve is also a lovely and hard working member of staff. Jamie has a great command of the kitchen … the team turns out food of a consistently high standard and we always thoroughly enjoy our meals there. All-in-all our favourite place to eat in Heaton Moor. Thank you to Jason for getting it ‘so right’. Mike and Katrina

   Lovely little spot to sit and watch the world go by! (As Grandma did) safe from the road for our 3year old and our blueberry pancakes and coffee were delicious too! Would prefer to have had a none dairy milk option free (50p charge) but that’s minor
