Upon a most splendid morning, myself and a distinguished gentleman of refined breeding did venture forth into the quaint and charming establishment known as Time for Tea, nestled delicately in the heart of Prestwich. One had heard whispers of its delights through the grapevine of discerning society, but nothing—absolutely nothing—could have prepared us for the sheer civilised majesty of what we were to encounter. From the very instant the bell above the door tinkled (like the soft chime of silver against crystal), we were enveloped in an atmosphere of genteel serenity and genteel service. The décor, elegant yet unpretentious, exuded the warmth of an English parlour in springtime. The tea—oh, the tea!—was of a quality one might expect in the drawing rooms of Mayfair, delicately poured from porcelain pots with the reverence such a noble beverage commands. Each sip was a gentle bow to centuries of British tradition. As for the breakfast, one can only describe it as a veritable triumph. The eggs—soft, sun-kissed, and perfectly poised between firm and runny—deserve a sonnet in their honour. The staff, paragons of hospitality, treated us not merely as customers but as honoured guests—nay, dignitaries of the breakfasting order. We were, I say without the slightest hint of exaggeration, flabbergasted. Positively flabbergasted. The courtesy, the attentiveness, the unruffled grace—it all left us in a state of delighted disbelief. In conclusion, Time for Tea is not merely a café. It is a sanctuary of civility, a bastion of British refinement, a temple to tea and toast. We shall, without question, return—and soon—lest we risk forgetting the bliss of that most delightful morn. Five stars, and a standing ovation.

Cute little tearoom, all homemade food, free and easy parking right outside on a Sunday. We were served by a lovely lady, and we had a really nice chat. The Bubble and Squeak was delicious. We would visit again.
