A must visit!! Incredible Indian food, I had the samosa chat starter which the waiter recommended to me, which was amazing and unlike anything I’ve ever had before. All freshly made. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Thank you for a delicious meal
I visited Bean and Bun in the evening with my friend and this is a little gem in Ashton! We had some delicious Indian food and coffee. The staff were welcoming and very positive. I look forward to coming again to have Breakfast ☺️
The owner of the Bean and Bun Cafe was just locking the door when my son & I tried to enter. She immediately unlocked the door and asked if we were looking for food. We hesitated to say 'yes' as they were obviously closing, but she said "Come in, come in, the Chef is still here and we'll cook something for you to eat." We chose our food from the Menu, a mixture of European and Indian food and decided on something to drink. While we waited, she asked what we had been doing. We told her that we'd been disappointed by having the ELO Concert we'd travelled from our homes in Scotland to see, had been cancelled at the very last minute. The owner asked to see my t-shirt to see the name of the group, as she didn't recognise the name. A few minutes later, ELO's music was being played whilst we enjoyed the excellent food that had been prepared for us! We were so grateful to her and her Staff for going out of their way for us that evening and for trying to lessen our concert disappointment by playing ELO's music whilst we ate! The following morning, we returned for an excellent Breakfast before wending our way home. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this wonderful Cafe and their Staff for everything they offer their customers. If in Ashton under Lyne please visit this Cafe - you won't be disappointed!
We arrived at Bean & Bun just as they were closing, but the staff were very welcoming and accommodating; we didn’t feel rushed. We had a nice meal that was made fresh, and to our tastes. Food and drinks were good value for money. The friendly staff made us feel relaxed and made our visit very enjoyable, thank you.
Kiana served me today I had a latte coffee which was so nice, she’s amazing at customer service very friendly and welcoming; a real people person and just the right fit for the job, will definitely be returning and recommend to family and friends! :) Thanks Lauren xo
Friendly staff, but not greeted when you walked in had to ask for menu. It was quiet, nearly all tables had food stains or marks off cups, condiment trays need attention. It is a shame that attention to detail is lacking as this is a lovely inviting coffee shop and very much needed in the area. Food was OK, hot drinks were small for large drinks, so need to look at this. Food came out a tray at a time as did the drinks, which again is attention to detail, not offered glasses for can drinks, which cheapens a nice atmosphere. All this said will definitely go back as I think this is one to watch.
Lovelt staff, yummy food and beautiful place. Loved the all day Breakfast, tried a new festive honeycomb milkshake top notch. Crispy bao buns are extremely delicious. I Will be regular here. Highly recommend this place.
Was the only customers when we went, weren’t acknowledged when we came in despite 3 staff members working. We had to get our own menus. The food we had was overpriced for the portion sizes, the drinks were standard. We were given no cutlery or plates for our food (sharing). The baby changing units are not fit for use and overall environment felt very unwelcoming. The burgers etc looked good and reasonably priced. Will not be returning!
