I had just discovered La Collina, hiding inside a building, you enter this lovely spot. Large tables that allow you to work with your laptop, and more importandly, lovely food and attentive staff. The manager was around and he was so lovely, accessible and attentive to my requests. He seemed to be passionate about running the place. I ordered the meat sandwich and the cheese sandwich. Both were incredible. Sourdough bread, mustard, carmalised onions. Top stuff. Lets support this type of businesses, local, indpendant coffeeshops that make decent food at a decent price-point, alongside great coffees.

Now we’re talking. La Collina was a treat - they have a short, simple home-made lunch menu. I had gnocchi with Bolognaise sauce. Perfect portion size. Coffee was delicious and forced myself to have a pistachio cannoli alongside it. Matt the chef is a focused on flavour and dishes with a twist - you can taste it. Nice space to work from too. Back soon. BACK AGAIN: La Collina is a hidden gem. The menu is developing from daytime only into an evening offering too. Matt, the creator and chef is passionate about the menu. New menu dropping in mid August. Go there.

I was having a touristy stroll around the neighbourhood and stopped here to have a coffee.. the place looks really cozy and relaxing.. the quality of the espresso was pretty good but I was not amazed being this an italian place. Chill and appropriate music. The staff was really friendly and welcoming.. recommended..

Gorgeous cafe on the edge of the furthest edge of the Northern Quarter. Wooden floored with comfy window stools to sit on and just watch the world go by. Coffee and Cannoli... mmmmm. The Sicilian Ricotta was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and the Hazlenut Chocolate was gorgeous. "Ah, but have you not tried the CHOCOLATE?" asked all of the staff as I left. "Honestly, that's the BEST. They're all good but that is just awesome." Did I mention friendly and seriously enthusiastic staff? Well, I had no choice but to take an evidence-based approach and try it. It's... Really, Really Good, but it isn't ricotta. A new favourite. PS The mushrooms on toast are fabulous. PPS Did I ever mention the Ricotta Cannoli?

I really liked this spot, only popped in for a coffee and a snack but will definitely be back again. They had a choice of a few different vegan cannolis, I got a cappuccino flavoured one and it went perfect with my latte. The food menu looked great so will be back to try some of their vegan options. The atmosphere was very chilled and cozy and the staff were lovely :)
