On arrival the women behind the counter made me and my wife wait for several minutes before taking our order. Once we’d placed the ordered it was a choir finding a clean table even though the cafe was virtually empty. The food then arrived and overcooked is a understatement it looked liked it had been cooked a few hours before then re heated the only thing that was fresh was the toast, I doubt we will be returning to the cafe

I visited the cafe on a Monday lunch time with my children to keep them happy before we did our weekly shop. After studying the menu and negotiating with all the kids to settle on their orders I was disappointed when the only reply I got from every item I wanted to order was “We don’t have that at the moment”. This led to very frustrated children and a very angry wife. I personally find it hard to believe that a few coach loads of tourists came early on a Monday for lunch and ate all the burgers, pizza, tikka masala and washed it all down with the maple syrup off the pancakes without eating the pancakes themself from all the regular sized cups. It feels like there was just nothing prepared in the first place, possibly expecting a quiet day. This was even more upsetting that we were charged full regular price for slushies but we’re only give small cups as they had no regular cups. “Why not just say no to the slushies?” I hear you ask. Well by this point I had several grumpy and hungry children and in order to keep the place from erupting it became necessary to appease them after their disappointed experience. Without sounding over dramatic, I won’t be attempting this again. A lesson learned.

Ordered a meal deal plus another drink. Lad on the till charged full price, had to explain I wanted the meal deal. He couldn't get his head around it. Took ages to sort it out. Drinks are served in paper cups, which means burnt fingers! 'Salad' consisted of lettuce, carrot, onion and 2 cherry tomatoes, and was very limp. As it's inside Asda, there is plenty of free parking, including disabled and children parking and the cafe is wheelchair friendly, although the counter is very high so anyone in a wheelchair would struggle while being served. You have to serve your own drinks as well, again it's quite high up, so a wheelchair user would struggle.
