Enroute from a treacherous journey to Manchester Airport. Needed sustainance. Brilliant atmosphere but no real ales left. Hopefully next time. No food all day?

Hosted a games night for our running club in the free function room upstairs. Such a beautiful room with original features. We only had chip butties but they were really good, we even got some salad & cakes thrown in and the napkins were super cute! Lisa was super helpful when trying to organise. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again! Thanks for a great night!

Attended for a christening in the function room it's a stunning room perfect for a small wedding reception! Only flaw was the bar & toilets was down stairs which was a little difficult for people unsteady on there feet. Bar well stocked and quick service.

The room to hire is great for family celebrations. I've used it several times and always a great atmosphere. The staff are extremely helpful and even in the bar area itself, is a great place to be. Again the staff are top rank and some of the locals in there are brilliant, with a good old fashioned traditional pub atmosphere.

Wonderful atmosphere. Staff amazing and cant do enough to make your visit memorable. Food is home cooked and VERY reasonably priced. A must if you in the area.

Restaurant/pub quite upon arrival and with plenty of seating available upstairs and down in the main bar area. The pub would benefit from a midweek special menu/offer as this would attract more customers. The food was typical pub food. (More beans and less chips needed with pie) The pub was a little on the cold side, but we are in the awkward season change so I can forgive that one. I will be back for a second visit.
