    It's clean and quaint. I visited on a Friday tea time. It's a bit like being in someone's front room in a 1960's house. There's real ale. Friendly staff. Nothing offensive about this place at all, just not my vibe. I can see why many do enjoy visiting and would recommend it as Buffet bar feels safe, clean and welcoming. Didn't eat or use the loo, no band on either so there's no comment about any of those things

    This pub is legendary. It's everything you could want in a railway pub; great beer, good pies and pork scratchings, good music, friendly beardy barman. Oh, and of course loads of railway memorabilia! This place could not be improved on!

    Madge making her first visit in 6 years. Been a few times, usually as part if the Manchester to Leeds Rail Ale Trail. On this dark November evening we were changing trains and I had twenty minutes to kill. Rushed in for a quick pint. Found a new brewery to tick off, Courier Brewing. A lovely bar to visit. Famous for the beer selection. Up to nine real ales. A CAMRA Good Beer Guide regular.
