Good Spoons. Fairly dark and standard, next to a Tram stop. Didn't scrimp on the chips. Upstairs and garden closed for the up date so was a bit untidy. I liked it.

Ordered a beer through the app and then watched 4 staff members standing around the bar doing nothing. Had to go ask them for my beer after 12 minutes. Instead of apologizing they gave me crappy attitude. Even by the very low standards of weatherspoons this place is really awful. Better to go to King's Ransom down the street.

Dropped in for a quick drink on way to meeting friends. Beer festival was on so a great range of bitters, miles and stouts. All well kept and presented. Prices were amazingly even better than my local JDs. Even the service was quick and friendly.

Good variety of beers and wines so sad to not see the Sunday roast on . Good service polite and friendly staff tables and ....toilets kept clean and regularly came and took empty glasses and plates away from tables

As always with 'Spoons you get an interesting selection of regularly changing ales and beers. Due to the Joule being very popular, and well located, seating can be hard to come by when it's busy, but there is overspill seating upstairs so don't rely on a poke of the head round the door to guage it. The staff here are great. Very friendly, attentive, and care about their customers, their work, and their beers. They will happily offer a taster before buying, or a top up once the head settles after pulling the pint. I have never eaten a full meal here, but have had a bowl of chips from time to time. Sometimes they come out piping hot, sometimes just warm. Seems to be a bit of a lottery.

Ordered small battered fish, chips, mushy peas. Arrived I know I ordered small fish but it was all batter, a fish finger would have been bigger, chips and peas cold, I had no problem having meal warmed up and another small fish added (chips were nothing to write home about either) but it spoilt the experience, I have to say the young lady serving & delivering the meals couldn't be faulted, she was apologetic, pleasant and friendly. Shame the same cant be said about the chef / backroom staff. Sorry to say I don't think we'll return anytime soon.

Visiting friends in the area and called in for a breakfast rather than have one at the Premier Inn we were staying at. Excellent value for money and well cooked. Refills on the drinks good as extras can be expensive. Pleasant staff to always a bonus...

Finished a night out in this small Spoons. Good real ale selection. Pint of Peerless Hops and Glory and a pint of Moorhouse's Straw Dog. Handy for Sale Metro. Both £2.10. Sadly already used all my 50p off vouchers.

Went in the afternoon for lunch, all good. Kind staff, clean venue. I had the steak menu and it was good, chips where nice but there's definetly room for improvement to cook them better!
