I think his name was Ian ? But honestly I think he was the most hospitable bartender that has ever served me. The Guinness was 10/10. I can’t recommend enough for a visit.

Great local pub, traditional in appearance. Good selection of tv screens to watch sport. Lovely calling in on a Sunday afternoon or an early evening. It’s gets really busy late on at weekends with a good atmosphere.

Good beer and a traditional pub environment. If you don't like football and a City or United match is on, unfortunately the TV is on too loud and spoils a conversation.
Traditional pub with friendly staff. We reserved a room and had a buffet made for a funeral party It was reasonably priced and a good selection of food. Would go there again.
Fabulous little find. We were staying at a an airport hotel and had a drive into Hale for something to eat . Pie was Great north pies £6 absolute steal for this fabulous food x
