We visit the white Hart on a regular basis and the food and service has always been brilliant. We went for Christmas dinner this year and it was fabulous from start to finish. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful, the service was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Well done to all the team.
Literally just walked in with my dad and sister on Christmas Day evening and the woman behind the bar rudely said “you can’t come in unless you’ve got a booking” so we said okay and left which was fine, but then as we left I heard the woman arrogantly say to her coworker “ugh they just stroll in like they’ve got a purpose”. Absolutely vile manners and behaviour. Maybe we weren’t the first and they were frustrated but just put a sign on the door saying “bookings only” it’s not difficult…
Can’t complain - good atmosphere, lovely staff, lovely food and great prices for customers✨
We've been attending the Thursday quiz night for a few weeks now. Always a good turn out and atmosphere. Only eaten a couple of times but the food was good and wholesome. We definitely enjoy the challenge of the quiz. It is shame though that the questions are mostly the same as the quiz master uses at another local venue the day before so makes it easier for teams that go to both quizzes - and much less likely that other teams can get a prize!
An incredible selection of draught beers, but one of the rarest of them all, Bass, is here on tap. It's worth it just to try this gem. Very quick and friendly service. Usual classic pub vibe, people having a convo after work, etc. Very nice indeed.
Just had fish and chips but without the chips . Staff obliged me by letting me have salad instead. Best piece of fish I've had for a long time. Wife had scampi as well. All served piping hot all for a great price .
Lovely pub on the High Street in Cheadle very busy when we visited on Christmas eve
Loved it. Immediately attracted to the 1kg tray of chicken wings, which were fantastic. We also had the steak and ale pie, and fish and chips. Some of the best pub grub we've had. Everything was piping hot. What was very noticeable was the friendly staff and friendly atmosphere in this place. Will be going again...

Has had many ups and downs over the years. Currently on the up. Usually 5 or 6 real ales with a CAMRA discount. 10%. Good balance between food and drinks. Traditional pub food served at a good price and good standard. Friendly staff. Hard to avoid TV sport for those who are not interested. Love Polly!
