   Booked for 6 people at 7.30pm Table wasn't ready and we were stood at the bar before it was ready and we were sat down at 7.40pm. Then waited till 7.50pm before someone came over to ask if we needed anything. Drinks and food order given. Server then returned to advice a particular beer ordered had ran out. Alternative given. Server returned again to advise the sourdough ordered was no longer available as they had ran out, alternative given. We then had to enquire where our drinks were as we had been waiting 20 minutes, Server came to let us know the bar tender was new and in training, there was a back log on drinks. (This was a Saturday evening on 13th Dec, Manchester was extremely busy and she was on her own) Drinks finally arrived a few minutes later. Restaraunt was full, bar was strewn with empty glasses toilets clearly hadn't been checked in a while. Whilst we were waiting for food, there was a long table of customers sat behind us when one poor lady jumped up because she was getting soaked from above her, there was what appeared to be a leak coming from between the boards on the ceiling. This turned out to be a drink someone had dropped in the bar above us which eventually stopped. Still waiting for food we noticed not one person had food and were all waiting. The kitchen looked chaotic and servers were stood around waiting for food to be ready, an experienced staff member was brought in (from upstairs I presume) to help the restaurant to get in some kind of order. The table in front of us, who were an hour late for their table and ordered after us, had food served before us! A Server eventually came over to let my friend know, the prawn and monkfish curry didn't have a full portion of monkfish as they had ran out, they would add more prawns if she wanted. At this point we had been waiting for food for nearly 50 minutes and she agreed as didn't want to change her order and wait even longer. After over an hour, starters came out. Followed by mains when we had finished starters some 25 minutes later. Kitchen lights went off after our food was served signaling it was closed. We had to ask for cutlery, 3 sets were brought over and then nothing, I had to make my way to the cutlery draw to get another 3 sets. We had been sat for over 2 hours. Our friends were due to get a train back home in 40 mins, and we had to pay the bill and walk to Victoria train station. So much for having a few drinks together after dinner before heading home. The whole experience was awful and not what we expected at all. Staff and the kitchen clearly need someone to guide them in the running of the restaurant. I appreciate it was a Saturday and on top of Christmas but for a bill of over £300, I expect a better smooth service and goods to be available when ordered. Such a shame as truthfully the food was good, that was the saving grace. Needless to say we will not be returning nor ever visit a Greene King establishment again

   After walking around the Manchester Xmas market with my family we popped into huge pub/restaurant which is located very close to the main market fair-wheel. My daughter who is a student in the city had been here previously and rated the food and drink, so we dived in. The front of this place is beautifully lit up with xmas light and upon entering made us feel very welcome and Christmassy. We headed downstairs where there is a much quieter vibe and despite not booking we managed to grab a table for the five of us. We arrived around 1:30pm on Sunday. If you are looking to visit I would high recommend booking in advance as the place was clearly very popular, and Sunday roasts are very much an attraction for family and couple groups. The restaurant downstairs has a lovely feel to it, and would be suitable for a group or a romantic dinner for two. It has a well stocked bar and a mix of table options, including nice booth type seating. We were looked after by Maisie who was extremely helpful and made our visit very enjoyable. The menu had a great range of starters and mains, plus some initial smaller treats. As a group we ordered the baked camembert sharer, buttermilk fried chicken with Korean BBQ sauce, carrot & ginger soup and scotch egg. All of these were well present, cooked and tasted great. For mains we ordered lamb roast dinners, fish & chips and a cheeseburger meal. The roasts came with huge Yorkshire puddings and with a very generous portion of meat and vegetables. The fish & chips were also massive, and nice to come with tartar sauce, curry sauce & mush peas. Overall, very impressive food and more than plenty in each serving making it good value for money. We had no room for desserts! Would like to thank Maisie for her great service. Defo recommend this restaurant/pub in particularly over the xmas period. Including drinks, starter & mains we spent average £40 per person. Great location in the centre of the city, will certainly go back again.

   Went for an early evening dinner, the dining room is downstairs, but the bar area is upstairs on a mezzanene type floor which was very noisy and they were playing non-stop Chritmas songs that loud you could hear it downstairs above the ambient bar noise. The food was average Green King fayre, the staff were nice and attentive, but we will choose somewhere else to eat next time we're in the city centre.

   super cute bar in manchester! loved their deals. i got a 2-for-1 on rosé and it was totally worth it. it’s a bit on the pricier side for manchester, but honestly, the vibes make it worth it. definitely coming back!

   Great food with fantastic flavours. Panzanella had a rainbow medley of tomatoes with a really tasty burella. It was missing a bit more texture/bread, however very filling. Kimchi tempura was inventive and unusual. Again, really good flavours with coconut yoghurt a good compliment. Steaks were cooked to perfection (minor but would've preferred steak knives). Berry crumble was perfect with a crunchy flaked almond topping.

   Nice pub, visited early on a Friday evening, there was a DJ playing music which was ok. Pretty quite, for a Friday. Friendly and nice staff. Had a meal, went for the beef bourguignon, was ridiculously sweet, didn’t seem balanced, might have just been my taste buds. I was charged a £4 service charge, bearing in mind I just had a main and a beer, which seemed excessive as it was only me. Its not the best value for money. It’s ok, for the price I’d expect a little bit more I guess.

   We had a lovely meal at The Fountain House! Highly recommend on a week day for a quiet meal as there is a bar upstairs that has music on during the weekends. We had the beef bourguignon and the lamb belly chops as mains which were both delicious as well as the potted beef and bone marrow starter (very yummy). Lovely selection of cocktails as well and service was excellent! Will be returning soon!

   We went there on a Saturday afternoon after reading their Facebook page that they were doing 50% off à la carte menu excluding drinks. We even asked the staff if everything on the à la carte menu was 50% off and he said yes. We ordered Seared Scallops, Potted Beef & Bone Marrow, Crab Bisque Linguini, Crispy Lamb Belly Chops and Beef Dripping Chips. - The Seared Scallops were great. - Potted Beef & Bone Marrow was average: we weren't sure where the bone marrow was and the Yorkshire pudding was dripping oil. - Crab Bisque Linguini was below average: disappointed for the price you'd pay even if it's half price: it lacked presentation, flavours and texture. The linguini was overcooked. - Crispy Lamb Belly Chops were good but lacked sauce or glaze. Only the mains were 50% off which we had to contest and ask to speak to the manager. We didn't really speak to the manager, she quickly amended our bill without explanation. Days later, their Facebook says 50% off à la carte mains and their website says the same but only on Mondays to Fridays. Very confusing January promotions....

   I had the pate to start which was nice, the pate it self lacked a bit of seasoning. Vegan Wellington was very pleasant. The head waiter was a lovely man, who was coping with a lot when I visited, lack of staff and no gas in the kitchen.
