   We visited Oxnoble today for lunch. I had made a booking for 4 people for 12.45. We were an hour early, explained this and the gent who greeted us, Tom, was immediately polite, and accommodating. He advised that food doesn't start til 12 but he would get us sat down and bring us menus while we order our drinks. The menu had an amazing variety. But not too much if that makes sense. Our order, I went with mushroom tagliatelle with steak. You could add either steak or chicken for a small additional fee. My friend had the cheese and onion pie. The two 10 year olds, had an oxnoble burger and the classic burger, but realised their eyes were too big for their bellies. Dessert was my choice, of egg nog panne cotta with mixed berries and a honeycomb crunch. My friend had sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. The two boys had a chocolate orange brioche pudding with strawberry ice cream (he swapped the custard for that) and then the hot chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream (swapped from the salted caramel ice cream) Oh and my friend and I shared a cheeseboard. (We were hungry) What can I say about the food, all home made, none of this pre cooked and ping. Very good portion size, full of flavour. Even the cheeseboard was amazing. The pics I took don't give it the justice it deserves. But I highly recommend it. Tom was an amazing host. Not bothering us too much but ensuring we were happy with everything. We will defo be going back when we are next in Manchester.. All the staff at the Oxnoble, we wish you a happy xmas and a fantastic new year.

   Back to its Roots! Great Food and Amazing Service from Sam! ​What a wonderful visit! I used to be a regular here, and after taking a break, it's so nice to see The Ox Noble getting back to its roots. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the quality is top-notch. ​We were seated straight away, and Sam was our server—what an absolute star! Sam was amazing, full of humour and professionalism, and really made the evening special. ​The food was brilliant. My pâté starter was lovely and such a generous size. My steak was cooked absolutely perfectly. It's a smaller menu here, but that clearly keeps the quality high, which I appreciate. ​Top Tip: If you're heading to the Opera House for a show, this is the perfect venue for pre-theatre nosh! ​Thanks again, Sam, and the whole team for a brilliant experience!

   I was recommended this place by a friend and quite frankly it did not disappoint! The food is banging, the venue is lush and the portion sizes are a chefs kiss! The one thing Manchester has been missing is a cute lil pub playing music loud enough to hear but not over bearing, well looked after and reasonably priced pub food and… GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS TOO! Our server Matt was an absolute hoot also and thank god someone these days has some banter. Absolutely recommend and i will be back!

   Really nice food and service! I visited Oxnoble with my family and partner as I've walked past it plenty of times and saw it was under new management. Safe to say we were impressed! Didn't take a photo before eating as we dug in straight away! We ordered the Sunday roasts (2 beef, 1 chicken, 1 cheese and onion pie) and the quality of the food was amazing. The meats were perfectly cooked and extremely flavourful, I loved the vegetable selection (all were very fresh and tasty) and the Yorkshire puddings were massive! The gravy was also an absolute highlight. The cheese and onion pie was delicious (we all tried some) and we were notified by staff that it's a new recipe. Definitely would recommend it! Drinks were good too and service was lovely- we were served by a very helpful and kind manager, Sean, who made the experience pleasant. There was some live music on while we were there which was nice too, good for an afternoon of relaxation. Overall, would recommend for a Sunday afternoon meal.

   I visited The Oxnoble on a Sunday with a friend who had been before for their Sunday roast. She mentioned the concept had changed a bit, but regardless, the Sunday roast was absolutely delicious! Our waiter, Sean, was super friendly and made the experience even better (he recommended the cauliflower chees and OMG soo good). I would definitely recommend The Oxnoble to anyone visiting Manchester for the weekend!

   £13.49 for a Turkey Roulade - would say its good value but when it comes with almost half the stated items missing its far from it. No pigs in blankets, no Yorkshire puds, no mashed potatoes and no stuffing - all items that should be included. At no point did anyone come to clear the plates or ask how food was. If I was just told items would be missing or that I'd get an almost Sunday roast instead I'd have been happier but don't charge full amou t for half a dish, even wetherspoons would do better for less and would have included an alcoholic drink.

   Stayed overnight to see Peter Kay. Lovely hotel, large room with a very comfy bed. Huge television. Couldn't beat the price either. Didn't use the pub/restaurant but it looked great and lively. Amazing location and easy to get to from the train station. Will definitely stay again.

   It was excellent living just down the road from the Oxnoble. Great to pop in for a pint or several. The food here is excellent too. Pretty well priced too. They also do a Sunday Roast which is wonderful. Check out the Roman ruins nearby also!

   Very nice food and beer. Lovely big double room- clean, neat & tidy, and a great cooked breakfast. Well recommended for the price. It was a bit noisy, with doors banging, and traffic noise, else it would have been 5 stars.

   Used to come here a lot when Castlefield was newly regenerated. Had been here back in the 1970's / 80's when the area was quite run down. Tend to visit the Northern Quarter more often now.Think it became a foodie place for a while but definitely now a pub that serves food. Had a lovely pint of Green Duck Blond.
