Came here after not being allowed in Junior Jacksons with my dog. Great pub. Open until 1am. Great service znd atmosphere, really friendly staff and clientele. Made feel very welcome. Water bowl for my dog and lots of fuss from staff and punters. More bars should be like this! Thanks fir a great couple of hours! JW Lees in da house!!!!

Classic old boozer in the NQ. Great selection of beers and drinks. Staff are always super friendly. Not to mention the amazing selection of BANGER albums on the jukebox and the lovely gig venue upstairs. I’ve had the pleasure of playing here 3 times. Always been well looked after and it’s been very smooth. A great spot for a wee pint with some deadly music.

Great venue for an intimate gig. Good local beer at the right price. Miat recently saw the Weeping Willows and Mark Radcliffe. Both brilliant. Marks dry wit left my face literally aching.

My first visit in many years despite visiting the Castle pub opposite fairly often. A lovely two room pub with booth seating in the front bar area and a traditional back room. They had two JW Lees real ales on sale but Albrecht treated me to a pint of Guinness. Very good. He had San Miguel.

Nice pub. Had a half of Manchester Pale Ale (MPA) by J.W. Lees. I've read this is a popular music venue as well. Enjoyed the mosaic of Steve Shy.

Came for a gig, the venue is upstairs whilst the pub is downstairs. The pub was relaxed and friendly considering it was a Saturday night, and the gig was great, proper music in Manchester!

Bobbed in to catch Zombie Zombie. Bar staff absolute legends, really cool, funny, helpful guys with great craic. Venue upstairs is cute, small, full of its own type of ambience. The lights are a great touch, feels very Victorian and looks classy. Great jukebox downstairs and the eclectic mix of punters says to me that this is a cool, welcoming place. We will be back!

What a great pub with a nice, small room above for small gigs. Saw Seazoo there last week and they were brilliant. Pub has a great atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Lovely little pub in the Northern Quarter but for its size you wouldnt expect it to also have a stage for gigs, if you like smaller bands and indie music this is the place for it. Even though it is on the smaller side it just makes the events feel that bit more intimate.

Kind staff, friendly patrons, great little stage setups. Came down for Sarah Shook & The Disarmers and the venue was perfect for a good night of cowpunk and cider.
