Should have listened to the reviews, got my order wrong and prawn toast was full of grease. All very bland and full of fat not worth the money.
Atmosphere was electric absolutely class from the home home and away fans fair play to them. On the other hand the display from the players in the back cooking was quite poor I think there was spunk in my soup and overall took the food 5 hours to arrive sort it out. The food wasn’t nice at all. Would not eat there again
Well to start off todays night we thought we would treat our selves to our once a month takeaway. so we ordered of urber eats. We ordered it at 17:50 and it came at 19:20. All 5 of us are starving ravished even! We have been craving a chinese all month. At last it came before we wasted away and this is the scariest thing i've experienced all halloween month. To start of what feels like a horror story, My duck chowmein was a rectangle and filled my whole plate once patted down. I also ordered some 'salt and pepper chips' which were as blande as carboard. Never in all my time on this earth have i had to put mayonnaise all over salt and pepper chips. Prawn toast is my favourite thing from a chinese and oh my god!! I've been put of it. It was warm bread cut in half with a bit of prawn on top. I feel sick. The only decent thing about the meal was the chowmein which is the only thing i ordered with flavour and the coke. Shame on you river queen
I have been a customer of these for absolutely years and always, always use them. I never ever pay cash either when ordering. Ordered today via just eat like I always do and paid via Mastercard yet when they delivered they asked for the money. Advised that I’d already paid and even showed the delivery guy the order on my just eat app where it clearly states PAID BY MASTERDCARD. Spoke to the restaurant who refused to leave my food!!! Absolutely fuming and disgusting service. They should take this up with just eat as I am now £27.50 out of pocket!!!!!!!!!! Years of being a loyal customer down the drain and will never use again!!
They have the best salt&pepper chips I had so far in Warrington. Taste is amazing, there are an actual pieces of jalapeno and vegetable (unlike in some other takeaways). And the service is really quick. I recommend. Thank you for making an effort! :)
Overall good service but not for the first time the prawn crackers serving was a joke. Around 15 in a small bag for an order is a joke. A more recent order by family and myself yesterday had a repeat of this easy profit- making initiative by River Queen; for an order worth over £40 with no complimentary crackers is poor enough, but to charge £2.20 for this serving is a sure way to not get returning business - I would welcome the owner to rethink his strategy on a simple gesture of appreciation of custom or at the very least provide a bag f prawn crackers worthy of charging a higher than usual £2.20 Wont be ordering again unless they improve this insult to customers with a con to get higher profit.
