Ordered kung po beef and got a diluted poor sweet and sour dish with some peanuts on top. Won’t be ordering again.

After coming here for almost 2 years I must say I’ve been disappointed the last few times, food cold and bland and meat in sauce dishes just seem to be getting more bulked out with veg. I found this place as my sister is coeliac and she can actually enjoy it with us (she travels 1 hour for it) and has been fine every other time but tonight she seems to have been glutened as she’s been really poorly straight after she finished. Won’t be returning.
Stay away. Most unauthentic Chinese in the area. Worst customer service recieved in a long while. 'Manager' pars everything off on colleagues. Uncooked food, greasy, off meat - like frozen for 6 months defrosted and cooked 3 days later off. Don't understand difference between spicy or not. - 5 stars out of 5
DO NOT eat at after five! Been theres loads of times and ordered tonight to find a dead fish in my food!! Took a picture and rang up to have all the staff and manager laughing at me saying they don't sell fish! So i sent a picture and call them to then not get even an appololgy to be told from the manager they thought it was a hoax call thats why they were laughing and he kept saying hes baffled how its got in there in a beef dish! Still no sorry after stating again no ones even appologised to me! Absolutely disgusting and i will be taking it further. Husband ended up driving there with all the food including the fish and guess what they still didnt appologise when he got there and said they were busy!! SHOCKING DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!
The food was fantastic and fresh. Portions were larger than I thought they would be great meal
I have regularly ordered from After Five over many years and cannot fault the service, quality or taste of the food. All food has always been delivered hot due to being well packed, on the odd occasion the wait for the delivery has been slightly over the estimated time frame but never by too much and again once received the food has been of the best quality. The menu is varied, however I do tend to stick to a few firm favourites but that is down purely to my preference. I have never had a bad meal delivered and certainly recommend
not impressed with the order at all! when i rang to order was greeted with your going on hold, and that was that, sat there for 5 mins before i heard them say ‘oh forgot someone’s on the phone’! i asked for chilli shredded chicken, and them saying is it the fruity one and me saying no the chilli one!!!! they told me it would be 1 hour, and an hour and a half later my sister rang up and they said the delivery was out and they would be 10 mins!!!! when i opened it all up they had put the fruity shredded chicken instead of the chilli shredded one, and the chow mien came as chicken in noodles no sauce or veg nothing! quite disgusted as i spent £36 on a load of food that wasn’t really that nice!!!!!!!
Portions very small, hardly any sauce on the sweet and sour. Spent nearly 50 pounds and no complimentary prawn crackers. Told if I had said at the time he would have. Although originally he said they don't do freebies.
