   We went here for the first time yesterday after recently moving to the area. The reviews were very good so we thought we'd give it a go. The reviews did not lie!!! I couldn't get them to answer the phone so decided to drive and order in the shop. It was already really busy with lots of people waiting. I placed my order and was advised that there was a 1/2 hour wait which was fine. And the food was ready within the 1/2 hour. The food was extremely nice. Freshly cooked, good size portions and really tasty at a great price too. We had the duck in orange sauce, special sweet & sour & prawn toast. Because we spent over £20, we also got prawn crackers (which were excellent). We'll definitely be back and I think this will be our go to Chinese. Their fish & chips also looked good. My only negative was that it's cash only. I know quite a few Chinese take aways are so took cash just in case. But it would be so much more convenient if contactless was an option.

   Spent over £60 11/10/25. Mushroom omelette looked like it'd been swept up off the kitchen floor. Egg fried rice was dry. Prawn crackers were hard. Spring rolls were hard. Chips were cold and limp. Even the crispy seaweed was disappointing and that's really hard to get wrong. Honestly couldn't say anything good about it and this was a shame as had treated guests because on previous trips to Ho King it'd been quite nice. Feel like asking for a refund but I know I won't get it.

   Recently, whilst working the Dubbed Out Fest 25, my colleagues and I needed some good food. We looked around the area and found Ho King. To say expectations were high is an understatement. Well, I can happily say, Ho King absolutely delivered! The staff are friendly and accommodating. There are a few seats to wait for your food, and the options are great value. Between the three of us, we ordered a main each, a Large Special Box (Spicebox), and we got a free side of wings for reaching £40. The box was bursting with food—they didn't skimp or short-change us. It was all cooked fresh and full of flavour. We walked back to the hotel with way too much food for three grown men to eat and gave it our best go. A perfect end to the day. Thanks to all at Ho King—we’ll be back one day!

   Freshly cooked and really good food. I've had better takeaway, but Ho King is really good value and local. Cash only, I phone through orders and usually by the time I get there it's ready.

   I've only had the lemon chicken from here with rice and chips. I've been twice and each time the chicken has been cold but it was cooked through. It needs longer to warm up. The rest was fine. I'll happily go back as I really like the taste, and if it's cold next time I'll just microwave it.

   Local small Chinese takeaway. Good menu and nice food. This is a cash only takeaway. You can phone your order through in advance. Collection only. Typical waiting time usually around 15 minutes.
