   Be very careful when considering this garage. I've been a returning customer for years, having brought my previous car here multiple times and spent a considerable amount on their services, always satisfied with the work done. This most recent experience, however, was appalling. I initially booked an MOT and service a month in advance. The garage had to reschedule due to illness, which I understood and accommodated. I got the MOT done elsewhere due to timing constraints. A week later, they called to re-book the service, and given my history with them and sympathy for the owner's recent issues, I agreed. On the day of the rescheduled service, I arrived early to drop off my car. While they didn't seem to have my booking notes, they confirmed the service and brake work would be done without issue. The evening collection was where things went drastically wrong. The owner, for reasons unknown to me, became extremely hostile and launched into a foul-mouthed tirade. What I initially mistook for banter quickly escalated into an aggressive verbal assault. I was repeatedly told to 'sling it' in the most expletive terms, threatened with physical assault, and told not to pay anything, just to 'sling it.' He refused payment multiple times. As I left to get my car, one of the workers profusely apologised for the owner's behavior. This level of unprofessionalism and abusive conduct from an owner is completely unacceptable. Despite past positive experiences, I cannot recommend this garage after such a distressing incident.

   Have been using AE Knotts for around 6 years now and can honestly say I wouldn’t trust anyone else for my MOTs and services. A1 work and reasonable prices. Mike is just one of life’s nice, genuine people.

   Wouldn’t go anywhere else. After dealing with cowboys elsewhere, I got the work I needed dealt with honestly at a very fair price here. From MOTs to repairs, I couldn’t feel any more comfortable with leaving my car here, and repaired after several visits from issues such as clutch replacement, exhaust repair and body repair after a bump.

   Fantastic garage, lovely guys that work here. Knowledgeable and accommodating. They fitted us in when my partner's car wouldn't start, helped us get the car up there and worked on it around other jobs. We send both our cars here as they lads do a fantastic job every time, prices are reasonable and work is excellent. Although it can be difficult to get in here due to all this but will try every time.

   Moved into the area and this was the closest garage for MOT. easy to book, very friendly and honest staff which is important. Decent prices, done quick and didn't do anything that didn't need doing. 100% returning and would recommend for trustworthy work.
