We went there on Saturday for dinner. Everything was so delicious, especially the Yellowfin tuna and spicy crab tostada, the Candy beetroot, tomato & pomegranate aguachlle. The Grilled Octopus is a must. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed. Friendly & attentive service as well! We will definitely go back!! Thank you

I had a nice enough meal here. The service was friendly enough and the waiting staff very helpful. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn’t really match the pricing. I realise it’s London and things are more expensive here, but honestly I expected to be blown away, and I wasn’t. It was tasty, but nothing special. The house white wine was excellent. Having said all that, I asked for a quiet table (dining alone), and the staff were very accommodating. The restaurant itself has an excellent vibe. I would definitely visit again, but next time I’d choose other items from the menu. The bill came to Β£77 for three courses, water, and two glasses of wine.

I’m convinced Zapote is the best Mexican food you’ll get in London. We went for mainly seafood and was so impressed. True to Mexican flavours often with its own twist that’s executed really well. The sea bream aguachile was delicious, and we also LOVED the tuna tostadas. Cocktails are brilliant too.

This is undoubtedly one of the best Mexican restaurants in East London. As a Mexican person, I felt the food transport me right to my childhood eating at my grandmother's dining table. The food is well-portioned, thoughtfully curated, and lip-bitingly delicious. My favourite dish, one you should definitely not miss, is the Charred Elote with Recado Negro!! Also love the cocktails, they complement the food with their flavours and spice!

A wonderful addition to the London restaurant scene and much needed boost to high-end Mexican food options in the city. Exceptionally prepared, thought out and presented Mexican food served by a knowledgable, smily lot. Room is a bit sparse with a strange partition (left over from the previous tenants) which should probably be reconsidered but otherwise very exciting to think where this place will be in six months if they're so amazing 6 weeks in!

Living in California and having visited Mexico a few times, I had my fair share of great Mexican food. For this reason I was a bit hesitant to try a Mexican restaurant in London, but I am glad I did. The place is lovely and the staff very nice and attentive. But it's the food that really is outstanding. The chef has done a great job. While the flavors are clearly and distinctively Mexicans, the dishes are sophisticated and innovative. Every bite was a sensation. The charred lamb on aubergines and the grilled octopus were really a masterpiece, but everything, from the cocktails to the ceviche was an absolute pleasure. It's a brand new restaurant, but definitely worth a try. For sure this one is going on my list of favorite places in London, and I am looking forward to going back, next time I will be in town.

Sometimes being the new cool kid on the block comes with some expectations. I’m Zapote’s case, it turned out to be quite a disappointing experience. The food is fine, nothing exceptional, the service good and the drinks somehow bad.. funny cause they have an endless kitchen with a grill station and pretty scenic bar. I guess they have plenty to figure out but for now it’s a miss for me.

Had the pleasure to dine here. Food is really good, quite big portions too. Plating was beautiful but most of all taste! Thumbs up for the chef! We had most of the items on the menu and I quite honestly cannot tell which one was my favourite as all dishes were divine! Service is spot on! Definitely recommend and will come back!

Fantastic! Culinary Mexican. The crispy baby artichoke and smoked aubergine were insane. All the veggie dishes were high quality. Well balanced cocktails. Will be back for sure!
