I got a flat tyre and was recovered by Tom's Motors through Start Rescue. The gentleman that arrived (sorry I didn't catch his name) was brilliant and would not entertain the idea of using the tyre repair foam that I had, he said it's no good so I'm glad I didn't try doing that myself! He put my car straight on his truck, drove me home and parked my car on the drive which was the best outcome because I can sort out a new tyre separately. I couldn't have asked for better service on a wet and windy Friday morning. Thank you!

Was quoted near Β£700 for some works on the brakes on my Passat from a VW "specialist" which seemed insane considering pads and discs had been replaced not too long ago. Took it Toms and got an actual real quote and the actual issue was one caliper needed replacing. Β£500+ saved. Highly recommended and will be using this garage going forward as they don't try and fleece their customers.

DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE! They were completely dishonest about pricing and extremely rude when questioned. I took my car in for an MOT, which failed and required some repairs. They called to explain what needed doing and gave me a price, which I agreed to. However, when I arrived to collect my car, the final bill was significantly higher than the quoted price. When I questioned this, they told me the extra amount was VAT - despite never mentioning that the original quote was excluding VAT. Naturally, I assumed the price that I was given was the total cost (inclusive of any VAT if payable). I was told someone would call me the next morning to discuss it, but no one did. I had to call them myself, and when I spoke to the woman whoβd originally given me the quote, she was extremely rude and dismissive from the outset. She told me that it was my fault for not knowing that VAT would be added on, even though it was her responsibility to make that clear and she did not do so when telling me the price. She accepted that she had not mentioned it to me, and said that she doesn't normally tell customers that VAT will be added on when giving them a quote! She said, "if you've been to a garage before, you should know." My issue isnβt with paying VAT - itβs with the misleading pricing (and the terrible customer service). Had they been upfront about the true cost, I would have gone elsewhere.

Reese was an absolute star - arrived quickly, super friendly, handled my car very carefully and we had a nice chat on the way back. Pushed my car with me behind the wheel to get it parked up outside my house. Honestly would give more stars if I could. I asked if he could share his PayPal with me so I could leave him a tip because he really went above and beyond, but he refused so this is the best I could do. Reese, thank you - youβre a star!

I have literally just been recovered by Tom's Motors (breakdown recovery service) and honestly would use them again in a heartbeat. So professional and courteous and didn't mind my sweary Mary tendencies as I'd been directing traffic away from my car on a dual carriageway in an area where most people cannot drive. Felt really safe as a lone female when they arrived.

Tom's garage checked out an Amber Engine warning light on my MX5. turned out to be a faulty Air sensor. Not worth replacing, but gave me peace of mind that it will not do any damage driving the car. Thanks Tom. Regards Phil

Went with an engine light problem and they said there was nothing wrong with it, just the sensor. They said they'd taken the light off my dash so it wouldn't come up again but it came straight back on when I switched my engine on. I was told I'd be rang with a quote to fix it and no-one bothered to ring me. Took it to a different garage a week later and turns out there was a fault with the engine and the light wasn't just the sensor. Not happy with the service received at all.
