Enjoyed my takeaway thought it was nice , lost a star because I suspect the chips were frozen, but the food was nice and well prepared outside this.
I ordered five chicken burgers from them I got told on the phone £10 my partner went and they said it was £20 so we looked at the menu and turns out each burger was £3.70 so that would of been £18.75 not just that I asked for only lettuce and bbq sauce they then put onions on it then when I called to ask about it told me it was £20 because of the sauce but it doesn’t say this on the menu at all and the called me I liar saying she told me £20 on the phone when I have witness to her saying £10 I’m never going here again ripping people off and we use to love it there and never been treated this way
Pleasant enough people. Prices are above other chippies & portions particularly of chips are about two thirds in my opinion.
Best fish n chips in L9. Not swimming in grease like some and not the recycled cardboard others dish out. Just a shame they've had to kow-tow to the national standards on portion size. Chips are becoming the same shape and size wherever you go.
Bought salt and pepper chips and a veg omlette the other day got charged £9 for it was a bit surprised but hey, when I opened it up there was just an omelette inside it!! Nothing else! (S&P chips were separate) but I meant them to be together really with mushy peas. Anyway popped in yesterday for a portion of what can only be described as frozen chips and mentioned it to the server about the overpriced meal the other day so the girl told the lady owner who came out growling at us looking like she had been chewing a wasp. We have remained calm and tried to say "We were just asking" but she got really irate and was raising her voice. "We should have phoned her the day it happened" she said "Well I'm telling you now it shouldn't make a difference what day I tell you" more angry comments were directed at us. At one point she said I owe you 40p (never saw that by the way!) I said so you've basically charged me nearly £6 for a veg omlette!! (For the recordI it was tasteless as well) It's been a terrible chippy for sometime now we hadn't been since the first few days when these clowns took over, but we will definitely not be going back in again and I intend to tell everyone of your "small dog syndrome" you horrible angry person, no need to talk to your customers like that. Chips are the worst I've ever gotten from a chippy and I mean that. Sell it on so we can have some decent people running our local chippy.
