I’ve used Parkhills Garage for many years now and genuinely wouldn’t trust anywhere else more. My first experience with them was having them look at my VW Up a few months after passing my test and buying it. I thought something was wrong and, at the time, I knew very little about cars. They checked it over, talked me through everything they did, explained it all clearly, told me there was nothing wrong, and only charged an inspection fee when they easily could have found reasons to charge me more. That honesty earned my trust straight away. Since then, I’ve had numerous cars through them, as well as cars belonging to friends and family. I always pay for a full inspection before MOTs to keep the cars in good health and hopefully avoid any advisories or fails, and they’ve always been more than fair, transparent, and helpful. On one occasion, they also took the time to offer advice on damage after an accident, which I really appreciated. They’ve worked on my TT for various things over the years and most recently my R8. Unfortunately the car was a little too low for them to work on properly, but they were completely upfront about it and advised where they could rather than messing me about. The receptionists are always friendly, easy to speak to, very efficient, and it’s genuinely always service with a smile. At this point, they probably recognise me just from my phone number with how often I’m in touch. I’m sure I’ll be back soon with many more cars. Always friendly, accommodating, and honest – highly recommended.

Booked my Rexton in to have major service and MOT, as well as sorting an issue with the airbag warning light. Unfortunately car failed MOT and it took sometime to obtain the parts needed. This was not Parkhills issue but the only Ssangyong part supplier in the area that are not the best. The team at Parkhills was fantastic, pushing the supplier multiple times a day, and keeping me constantly informed. Once the parts came in from the supplier, the team at Parkhills had the car sorted in no time and a nice MOT pass. So thankful for all their hard work, especially the lovely lady in the office, Megan, she was fantastic Recommended and will be back next year

HEADLINE: Thank you Megan and the Team for going out of your way to help me at a very stressful time. (This review is long overdue!) Weds morning 16 Aug 23 my car began "screaming" on the M61. I stayed in the slow lane and came off at the next junction and rang Parkills straight away. "Could I bring my car in?" Lovely Megan initially said at least a week. When I explained I am self-employed working across the NW and need my car, (don't work: don't earn) compounded by currently driving back and forth to a specialist vets 30+ miles away (my dog had cancer and days earlier had had a huge operation). Megan said she'd speak to the manager at 9. She called me back at 9 and said "bring the car in, though they may not get to it that day". A slow drive to Parkhills and I left it with them. Megan rang me that afternoon, they did in fact find out what was wrong with the car same day, then it was a case of waiting for parts, I added a full service to the work, and had a niggly tiny issue (I couldn't remove a plastic cap on one tyre valve to inflate it). Megan kept me informed throughout those 3 days (4 calls in 3 days) and I had my car back by Friday! So what could have been 2 weeks no income AND worry how I'd get my dog back to the vets in an emergency. I was only off the road for 2.5 days. This is the 2nd time Parkhills have provided excellent service and resolved an issue for me. I really appreciate Parkhills excellent customer service, going out of their way to look after me as a customer and the transparency of great videos illustrating what works needs to be done gives that added peace of mind. For me choosing a garage boils down to trust and good service, who will keep you safe on the roads. I'm confident when I take my car to Parkhills they'll do a good job and are always friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again Megan, and sorry this review wasn't posted sooner!

Booked in to have my heat shield properly fitted and checked and when they found out it was partially fitted they didn't charge me for the labour or adding an extra bolt to ensure it was intact. Megan was extremely personable and generous in not charging me I have previously had my car MOT'd here at very late notice and they fitted me in no problem. Brilliant service throughout. I would definitely recommend this garage.

Thank you to Parkhills service and MOT centre. They managed to fit me in with 24h notice because my husband had been in hospital so my MOT had expired a few days prior. Megan was lovely and when she saw I needed to mark some exam papers whilst waiting for my car she offered to turn the radio off for a more peaceful environment. She was informative and reminded me my car was due a service and offered to send me all of the information via email or by telephone. Read all the reviews on here and can't believe it's the same garage I have had the unfortunate dealings with, I operate a ssangyong musso pick up truck and everytime it went here for servicing there were extra charges for anything to do with warranty in fact £95 everytime they would even look at reported issue even whilst servicing. Last issue was handbrake not working they condemned the whole rear braking system after paying £95 to check it saying it wasn't warranty and the whole lot would cost £500 to replace the discs, pads, brake shoes and adjusters due to wear and corrosion. Didnt have it done, took it to another ssangyong dealer who checked it FOC and replaced brake adjusters under warranty (no charge). Some weeks after a service at this garage noticed rear locking wheel nuts were missing garage flatly refused to accept liability due to time frame. Last service was done at current/new ssangyong dealer and they reported an oil leak due to wrongly fitted oil filter seal also air filter was not installed in housing. I have had issues with parkhills from day one of using them suffice to say will never use again and would advise all to steer well clear. My new ssangyong dealer/Service centre is night and day compared to this garage.
