   Steve attempted to fit a clutch on my car. He charged well over 30% the average price. 3 months later the clutch was worse than before I took it in for repair. I asked him to take another look which he did and a few weeks after this follow up repair the clutch was as bad again. I then suggested a refund . He refused and became abusive and rude and told me I couldn't drive properly and it was my fault the clutch didn't work correctly. A con man that needs to be avoided!!

   I had a clutch fitted in my Peugeot 108 in October 2023 by Jan 2024 the cutch pedal was very high indicating a problem with the clutch or the fitting of it. The clutch was fitted by Steve and his apprentice. I returned the car to be rectified. Steve adjusted the cable and 2 weeks later the clutch is still not right. I called to advise and suggested a refund. This was met by a barrage of abuse and I was told the reason for the clutch being faulty was my fault as I don’t drive correctly!! Despite the face I have been driving for 40 years and never had a problem with a clutch til now. Steve refuses a refund and became very aggressive. Avoid this garage at all costs, Steve is a nasty character.snd a bully I am taking him to court to get a refund! If I could give zero stars I would

   Drove in without an appointment as my car suddenly went into limp mode, They luckily managed to get my car in straight away and got the issue sorted. I would highly recommend this place for any mechanical issues you’re having as they showed a massive amount of attention to detail. Nice and friendly staff and a cup of tea while I waited was the cherry on the cake! 10 out of 10!

   The staff there are great, very helpful and honest. Had a problem on my car, they had a look and asked about a spring that looked new in the area if the issue. I had some work done about 10 months including a spring. They told me to take the car back where the work was done as felt there was an issue with the spring and they didn't want to take money from me for for work that could be done for free on warranty if the spring was the problem. They didn't take any money for checking it over and got the work done under warranty. So would be more than happy to take my car back to Wharf garage in future.

   I have known the owner ( Steve ) for some years and he is a really decent guy. I've always found him and his team very professional and efficient. On top of this they are pleasant and always happy to go that little bit further and they keep in touch by telephone when the car is in their garage. The garage is always tidy and efficient and easily accessible … Highly recommended if you have a problem with your car or for Servicing / M.O.T.’s
