   I like matalan, but this store is really tired looking. There is no atmosphere. Hardly any staff around. Long queues at the till. Self service till always has a problem. Even the range of clothes, housewares is really limited and poor choice.

   Really good to see the toilet open after 6 years being shut - glad to see Matalan have reopened their toilets as we wouldn’t be able to shop in a store without one. Always a good range of products and staff happy to help Wasn’t pleased though to find all of the self checkouts shut on Sunday - there was a large queue for the staff tills and the self checkouts are usually open - queuing for the tills caused us a delay

   Went to Matalan for a couple of tee shirts and while my wife and i was walking round we notice some pillows priced at £13:50p for two so we bought two sets of pillows but when we got to the till to scan our products we notice that the pillows came up as £14:00 for two and when we challenged the employee at matalan we was told that the manager had said that they could not reduce the price that they had to £13:50p, my wife did tell the employee that it is illegal for matalan to do this, what i am saying is if you shop there just be aware of the prices that are on the products. You could be losing money.

   Selection of items very poor compared to other matalan store's I have shopped with. Staff well past their sell by date,rude and generally unhelpful. The same can be said for the clothing Selection. What buyer chooses to sell old lady clothes?Do matalan staff have any customer service training at all? If they do the person who is delivering it needs sacking! Shop looks old, tired,dated and generally run down. Wouldn't shop in this particular store again. SHUT IT DOWN!!!
