   Will not be shopping here again. The staff made me feel very uncomfortable after finishing a long shift I popped in to a very quiet store greeted very weirdly by the security guard and a Matalan employee who stared at me until I said hello. The security guard was playing music to himself and I seemed to disturb their conversation by entering the store. I then went to look at shoes and after trying a few pairs on and finding nothing in my size went to have a look in the clothing section. When I walked back past the shoe section the security guard was what looked like searching around where I had been sat and when he looked up to see me he just said ‘sorry’ this made me feel really uncomfortable. I felt so anxious but wanted to finish shopping I paid for my items and then walked out the store. On the way out the disgruntled looking woman who was chatting to the security guard at the front of the store was standing at the security desk and then as soon as I had left the building she stepped away. I honestly have never felt so victimised is my life. I felt like a criminal for looking around a store. I think the staff need better training and should not make customers feel so uncomfortable. Like I said I will not be back!

   Matalan Parkway, I tried some trousers on but they weren't quite right. 2 female staff were just chatting so I asked if they could find a smaller pair. Their response was "we can't move from our place next to the tills" I looked myself and couldn't find a smaller size so I asked if they could call the Heeley store to see if they had a smaller pair. The response was "no, we can't". I bought the trousers and then drove to the Heeley store and they'd got what I wanted anyway, so I exchanged. Very poor customer service at the Parkway Store!

   I had a bad experience with this store. I ordered some clothes for my boy cause of the patterns were so pretty, but when I got them, the quality was not my expectation, looked not good quality for baby. So I packed them all nicely as begining and took them to the store. That was the end of the day ( 10mins before closing) and the girl who took my case was not happy with me. She did everything unpatiently and she kept talking behind someone to a colleague. Then she gave me the returning ticket (as photo) and I did not realise it was not "returning receipt", until I have waited for returing money for a month and now I know the ticket is useless to get money back. I did call to their custormer service and they said they can not do anything with my case. I lost money, and feel really disapointed. Also my fault wasn't check the ticket sooner. But NEVER AGAIN shop in Matalan.

   I do often find good value things in here, and with free parking, the convenience of the shops close by, its definitely remembering is there. It is a shame the tills aren't quicker but hey ho!

   Won’t be going back to this store ! Self service tills fair enough 2 members of staff to help & watch ppl scan , but then as you go out one of those staff members checking receipts ? Why? It slows ppl down & if your watching surely you can see ppl are paying ? Maybe watch & don’t chat what’s for lunch !

   Can I ask why a large store like this off tge Parkway has no toilet facilities? I took a 3yr old to get some clothes, she needed the toilet and I was told there was none??? I had to take her round the back of the building which isn't fair really!!! 26/10/22 thanks for your prompt reply. There are no facilities for this site unless you go into burger King to buy something in order to use their toilets:(
