To be totally honest, I’ve had some food here on occasion that I didn’t particularly enjoy, but this could be just a matter of taste & willingness to try different things. When I stick to my regular orders, I always rate them highly, so the above criticism says more about me than it does May’s. The Chinese lady is always incredibly friendly & welcoming, and the waiting time is well within reason for freshly cooked food

I have been ordering and dining at May's for three years and every visit reminds me why it's one of my favourite restaurants in west London. The food is always good with rich flavours and I never waited for too long. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, the staff are always friendly, attentive and making sure guests have a great time there. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable restaurant that feels like home.

Quite basic decor but friendly vibe and clean. The tofu was a recommendation and tasted incredible. Silken tofu with the lightest batter. Yum. The duck dishes were quite good. Not sure of the consistency of the sauces, I prefer it lighter. The Singapore noodles were v tasty and well cooked. The egg fried rice had plenty of egg in it. Liked the fortune cookies at the end. Would definitely come again to try more dishes.

I have taken a load of kids there after a birthday party and everyone had a good time. Clean restaurant, nice enough staff and the kids liked the noodles and duck pancakes. I don't remember what I ate but that wasn't top of my priorities at the time. However we ordered delivery last night and it was average at best. I see lots of good reviews on here so many we ordered badly or the dishes we ordered don't travel well but I can't see us trying again. The fact that in the same area there are restaurants serving food from all over the world to such an incredibly high standard makes the averageness of May's stand out all the more. If there is a May, I of course do not blame her. They are just giving us what we have demanded historically from Chinese restaurants. No matter which of the many varied and diverse regions the chefs or proprietors are from we only ask for the same six dishes. Everyone loves duck pancakes.

After living in Chiswick for 12 years I ordered for the first time tonight. Last time. Food arrived cold. Ribs were ok but my lamb main was just not right. Gloopy and I don’t believe the meat was lamb. Had to bin it.

A decent Chinese take away option in Chiswick. Food was quick for delivery and tasted good. Spare ribs were the highlight.
