I wouldn't bother. Some of the mechanics are good but the "management" are clueless; they don't know who's in, they order rubbish parts, they pull guys off jobs to hurry other jobs meaning things get done in a hurry without attention to detail, they don't check whether a part is functioning before installing. Awful.
Shaw Street Garage have been excellent - they found me a low mileage reconned engine at a great price when mine failed. Always helpful and courteous on the phone, and quick and efficient carrying out the work, I have no hesitation in recommending this great garage in Bolton.
Car broke down (fuel issue, car started then died after 10/20 seconds, repeatedly) and was towed here by the AA. Took about 14 days to obtain a quote/diagnosis and another 14 days to obtain part. After paying £1878.28 for the repair, I picked the car up, and it broke down again within 2 miles, with the exact same symptoms as original fault. I rang them and all they could say was "Call the AA"! Will never go back here, cannot recommend them at all.
Had an alignment booked in with them, arrived on the day to be told “can’t be done” because the person who does it had to be rushed to hospital. Accidents happen, but barely got an apology for it. Then decided to get a battery fitted and it genuinely took an hour.
Tried to use this business. Booked in via bookmygearage. They never got back to me about my booking. Emailed them. No response. Called them they told me they forgot to tell me they couldn't do wheel alignment on a Saturday morning. So booked in for Monday. Turned up ..sorry we forgot to call you. The guy who does wheel alignment is of sick. Total waste of time.
Took car for a tracking with a appointment ,person doing was not there after half hour wait somebody else took came back 10 mins later saying its done AND IT WAS NOT DONE HAD TO REPLACE TYRE WORN ON THE INNER EDGE ON RECENT MOT
DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE. I took my car in for an interim service about 4 weeks ago. As part of this service they are meant to check lights, tyres, exhaust, operations of brakes and steering. Today, I had to take my car to another garage as my exhaust had snapped off. Had the interim service been done properly or at all, Shaw Street should have picked up the wear and tear on the exhaust system and fixed it. This would have avoided my exhaust snapping off altogether. I am now £120 out of pocket for a non-existent service and £140 out of pocket to have my exhaust repaired.
Great garage! Took my car in for a diagnostic check. They found the fault, ordered the part and fit it all within a matter of hours. Fair prices. Can’t fault them at all. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Shout out to Amaar, Naveed, Zaheer and Karim. Thank you so much ☺️
