I've washed to do their for ages ago as it was my birthday I chose to go. Had a buffet. It was superb choices from the main menu.. dessert even came when I asked when they were closing. Family atmosphere may have been quiet because we were late.. I enjoyed

My partner took me here and we had a very nice meal. The food was all tasty and cooked fresh for our order. The service was really friendly and relaxed and we were not made to feel like we should not order more food. The starters we had were nice, but give the chicken satay a miss as it wasnβt super flavourful. The crispy seaweed is good. Wonton soup good. Pakchoi was nice and I had it with rice and a beef dish which was good. Then had desserts which were also yummy. I had a nice meal, thought food and service was good and I would go back. I have seen some negative reviews and do in a way agree the price point is quite high for buffet, but I thought the quality was definitely better than a buffet and itβs nice to be able to choose exactly what you want.

I am a little conflicted from last night. As a family we have been coming to The Emperor since the 80's, since I was a child myself. Last night was a special night for my mother as it was her birthday. I had booked a table for 8, but unfortunately, my niece and nephews all ended up sick with a virus. We ended up ordering from the set menu, the food itself was not as good as it normally is and did not even look pleasing to the eye. The braised mushroom and bamboo shoot was disgusting. There was not enough pancakes for the duck. Everytime we wanted to order more food, we were looked at as we shouldn't, even though it was a set menu. The service was slow, I expect they want to serve slow, so that you get full quickly and end up paying Β£32 regardless of what you order, which is really bad. There was food leftover and for the first time we asked for a doggie bag for my mum to take home, which every restaurant we go to provide if there is anything leftover. We were shocked to be told that is not possible, WHAT? Apparently people order lots to than take home, so what? If are paying for the food, it is up to them if they want to take it home. I didn't want to make a big deal as it was my mother's birthday, but the restaurant had no right to refuse their customer request for something that we were going to pay and the bill was not cheap. This has put me off ever returning to that restaurant and even though before we left my mother did tell the server off, as a family we have decided not to return here again, being served on a timely manner and professionally is very important to us, would I recommend this restaurant, not anymore. Very disappointed!!!!!

The restaurant was packed, every table full. Always a good sign. The service was a bit rushed, perhaps because it was packed. The food came quickly and was delicious. Would recommend and I will go back again. Quite pricey though.

Absolutely amazing! The spining table was a winner! We had the buffet menu, I think it's portions we're very good, better to order small quantities and if you want more they will give you more instead of ordering loads and then food will go to waste or pay Β£6 and you can take it away. The service was phenomenal I cannot applaud the man that served us tonight he is a STAR. One of the lady's was very unfriendly and seemed very angry, however this man's politelyness and friendliness made us forget about her. I really do believe it's price fairly, for the food you get, usually seafood is expensive and you can have as much as you like. The food was very taste tasty too. The sizzling dishes is an awesome experience. Thankyou Emperor.

The food was delicious with a good variety to choose from. The staff were all very friendly and service was excellent. Food arrived very quickly each time we ordered. A little expensive but thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Lovely buffet food, they only put a small, but healthy amount of food out at a time so the food is always fresh when you go to take it, would defintely recommend the Sunday lunch buffet, the evening buffet is great too where you order by the plate, but more expensive than the buffet but both is all you can eat!!! Great food, great atmosphere
