   Terrible service and a misleading menu. We ordered a set menu which specified 'two of any starter', however the starters when arrived were half the size of the normal quantity advertised. Furthermore all portion sizes were tiny compared to other set menus (we are 2 average sized people and not greedy either), we also paid for a 2L bottle of coke yet received a 1.75L bottle. When complaining the owners saw nothing wrong with giving us a smaller bottle of coke than what was advertised and said the portion sizes in the set menu would obviously be smaller as you pay less. I would not recommend.

   Normally I don't comment, but tonight I can't keep my words. It is the worst Chinese food I ever had since 2013. Their noodles has no taste at all. The fried chicken, is completely not fried!!! The portion is very small, you can't even taste the chicken! I don't recommend it honestly!!!

   Poor customer service. Moved to Sutton from Tooting 7 months ago. We are used to have a Chinese take away most Friday night. So we decided to give the Golden Lion a try. We were please to see they had a good choice of vegetarian dishes (Mock Duck/chicken). The dishes like for like seemed a bit pricey compared to our old take away though; between £1 and £2 more per dish. We ordered the food and asked when it was going to be ready; but when we got there, we still had to wait 10 mins. The lady who served us could barely speak English and there was a bit of a confusion on how much we owed; because we couldn't understand what she was saying. Then she got all flustered and eventually pulled out a receipt. Her poor manners left us thinking we wouldn't go back there again. We were not happy when we finally opened the containers to find that they were quite small and not even half full. My partner ordered a dish with mixed vegetables and it was full of chopped onions; no other vegetable in sight. Very poor.

   The takeaway is conveniently situated along a high street with many bus connections, making it convenient to collect food (especially during busier days when delivery may take longer than usual). Having ordered from them on many occasions, I have found the food to be good.
