We have been ordering from here for about 3 years, the prices are reasonable and the portions are good, always get free spring rolls and extra prawn crackers, staff always friendly and polite.

Last time I came here was probably 6 years ago, always got stomach troubles and quality was not great and meat content was minimal at best, and oily. Saw new boardings, so must be new owners and thought let's revisit. Well what can I say, WOW. Complete transformation, food taste amazing, portions full bodied and tasty, currently going through their entire menu as im that interested in the taste. Nice touch to be able to order on their website instead of phone call
Well I have to say we were really disappointed with the take away we had tonight. The chicken balls were over cooked, the smoked shredded chicken was tough and really sweet, the chicken chow mien was tasteless, the egg fried rice was dry. The only good thing was the chicken satay. We will now have to find a new Chinese takeaway. We’ve been ordering from here for many years. We ordered on a Friday night at 5.15pm for collection.
Could be under new management and recently decorated. The food has improved dramatically now. Use to be overcooked and lots of oil. Now, better flavours and looking. polite staff and quick delivery. Back to being our local Chinese takeaway.
Would’ve rated minus stars if I could. Terrible service. Ordered one dish and received the wrong one. When I phoned to ask why they’d sent the wrong one, they said they didn’t do the dish I asked for. I asked them why they didn’t tell me and he didn’t give me an answer. I spent £25 on the order and regularly order with them and when I asked for a refund for that dish he said no and that £25 “isn’t a lot of money”. That’s poor taste for the current climate we live in and I’m appalled at that statement. Awful customer service and the food was terrible. Don’t order from here.
I ordered a take out for myself and sisters for pick up, was more or less ready for the time arranged, when I got home they had missed out the curry sauce that I ordered and the butterfly prawns were over cooked and burnt around the edges was very disappointed as this left me with just rice the other orders were fine and they was happy with there food although all of the food was lukewarm and had to be reheated. I tried calling to let them know what happened but was constantly going to message I eventually got through about an hour later and was told to call back the next day as they was to busy no apology was given, I called them the next day and was asked if I wanted credit for next time, I asked for money back and was told to pop in and they would give me cash although I paid with card, I went there within half an hour and then was told by an older lady that works there that it has to go back the way I paid she said Sainsburys do that but I agued the point that the guy said I could get the cash I also said that know one had said sorry and that I was very disappointed, she then said she doesn’t care they are to busy and again mentioned that Sainsburys don’t say sorry! I got the cash back in the end but definitely would not go back there again!
New capital been closed for 3 weeks for refurbishment went back in the first day of reopening to find the food was still exceptional, look forward to returning pin a weekly basis
I've been using this takeaway for over 25 years and I've always enjoyed their food. I've tried other Chinese takeaways in the area but their standard cannot compair to the excellent food of the New Capital . Their guide times for delivery is realistic and generally the order has arrived before the estimated time; even at peak times. Obviously, collection is usually quicker.
