I was mis-informed by the practice and was issued with a £100 fine! I went for a routine check-up and asked if my check-up was free because I was claiming benefits at the time. The receptionsit checked my documents and confirmed I qualified so I didn't have to pay. I've now received a fine from NHS BSA (Business Services Authority) who have fined me £127.50 for incorrectly claiming free treatment! I advised that I was mis-informed by the staff member at Poppies Dental Care but NHS BHS said it was my responsibility to check if I was eligible and I have 28 days to pay the fine or else it increases to £200! Absolulte madness. No way to appeal or complain. Would not recommend. NHS BSA also confirmed that all NHS dental staff are not allowed to check the eligibility of a staff and that I should have been informed of this by the receptionist. If she had told me to check myself, I would've paid the £27.50 for the check-up!

Generally very good experiences here, better than most other dentists I've had. They often run late, but they are always polite, kind, friendly and helpful. My dentist suggested something no other has and its cured my sensitive gums. He was also very gentle with my toddler on his first appointment so he won't be afraid to come. Very happy here overall.

I recently had some fillings done with Shabnam and she honestly made the whole experience so much easier than I expected. She’s really knowledgeable and takes the time to make sure you’re comfortable, giving breaks and explaining things in a way that puts you at ease. Her nurse Ruby is always kind and helpful too, which makes a big difference. They make me feel relaxed and create such a friendly atmosphere for me. For the first time in in years i don’t mind going to the dentist and that’s all thanks to them :)

I noticed an issue with one of my teeth. I finally got an appointment after trying for two weeks because no one answers the phone and discovered that I needed treatment. My appointment for treatment was over one month after my consultation which was longer than I would have like considering as I felt that the treatment was urgent but the receptionist staff told me that that was the only available appointment. The dentist told me I could chew but be careful. My appointment was then cancelled then again it was another week before I could get through to someone on the phone to reschedule. I was told I would have to wait even longer for my treatment. My tooth then cracked and half of it was hanging off. I called reception and she said 'there is nothing I can do' she asked if I was in pain. I explained that I had a root canal on that tooth so I probably won't feel pain but her advice was to wait for 3 weeks with my tooth hanging off. I would avoid because nobody answers the phone and you have to wait many weeks for treatment in which time your teeth get worse and it ends up costing you a lot more. I will be seeking legal advice. I know I should have sought treatment elsewhere but I made the mistake of trusting so called professional people.

Was taken of register a few years ago for missed appointment while in covid. Was hard challenging times. Also unforseen very challenging circumstances, out my control. No answer or feed back from email. Phone call to unhelpful reception and of book for life and not listen to. Think this is very unfair treatment.

I’ve been waiting 6 months for an appointment and the day I had toothache is the day I had a call to come in! I went in on Wednesday & was called back in today to have a root canal treatment which was performed by Sid I believe his name was. I’ve never felt more at ease with a dentist, he was very friendly & we had a good conversation yet he remained very professional. He kept asking me throughout if I was ok, and I could tell he loved what he does as the tooth he has now created genuinely looks like a real tooth & that’s down to his skill. I will be back soon for the rest of my teeth to be fixed!! I’ll never go anywhere else now and I will forever recommend this place especially that particular dentist! I also met his colleague who was also extremely friendly and caring. Overall pleasant experience.
