Sad to see so many poor reviews. We order from here all the time and have done for 5 years, and we’ve never had a bad experience. Wang Fa is our Sunday night treat takeaway and it’s consistently delicious!
I've been going to Wang Fa for over a decade.. I love the people not just the food, I love the familiarity, that they remember you and have a chat no matter how busy they are. The only reason I gave 4 on food (which I feel so guilty for.. sorry.. it's my issue really not theirs) but they'll do anything to accommodate but some of the dishes that I'd love to have are spicy.. sauce wise and I am NOT that person who thinks they have the right to ask people to do whatever they ask but I'm a big baby with spicy food.. other than that.. YUMMY!! HUGE LOVE AND THANKS!!xx
The food is delicious. As a lover of crispy aromatic duck i ordered that today. I’ll add the photo of it. What has upset me is that the restaurant would do nothing… online deliveroo said the restaurant would fix the issue. Then deliveroo told me they were sorry it wasn’t cooked how I would like. The restaurant refused to do anything… no credit note, no refund… they actually said the 1/4 duck shrinks so looks less. I’ve eaten this dish for over 40 years… this was so poor…. Order was uneditable - had to throw it out. Felt unwell afterwards. Chicken not cooked properly. Worst Chinese.
Food is a 2/10. Would not recommend, I ordered a large special fried rice and sweet and sour chicken no vegetables. The total came up to £13.48. For some reason there was a £0.50 charge for card payments. This was fine but then the lady proceeded to add an extra £0.70 charge for removal of vegetables. They are a scam and will be raising this charge with my bank.
Service was fast and food was good . Definitely want to try out the lunch time specials because they’re so cheap .
I chose Wang Fa because I could order a small amount of food (delivered)for a good price. Many places have a minimum order price which is not good for me being on my own, a waste of money (No I do not want leftovers for breakfast LOL!) Chicken curry was a large portion full of chicken and the curry sauce perfect to my taste. The egg fried rice was also a large portion and tasted good. A perfect evening meal for me. I will be ordering from Wang Fa again.
