   I see how the reviews look, to anyone who sees them, yes, sometimes it takes a while. Keep in mind though they deliver in house, I work in food too, having to spare someone for 30 minutes can be rough. But I’ve ordered from them at least a dozen times, and not once has my food just vanished. Slow? Maybe, I can wait. But the food has never been bad, it’s always been tasty and they’ve come through for me when it’s mattered more than once. They can through for me especially so a couple days ago so this is for that.

   While the food is edible it's not great. If your HUNGRY, you might actually enjoy it but in general it's subpar, just about passable. Now the service? Wouldn't havent a clue as the number has been switched off so no one can call and check on their order. I'd say pretty damn terrible customer service, they don't even have the decency to have a phone when a lot of the customers are online. Now last but not least I've ordered 3 times from here in the past 6 month (I used to LOVE THIS PLACE) first time the food was abysmal at best, just about edible. Chicken rubbery, noodles soggy and the rice looked like it had been through the flames of hell itself. Second order.....just never came (i wanted to give it another go as again I used to LOVE this place) and me being me though hey I'll try one more time as it might have been a fluke. Nope.....no fluke, food never came AGAIN. This place is nothing but a scam now for money laundering or something cause its done nothing but go down hill in the last few years. This used to be my only Chinese shop. Never again. One more loyal customer lost.

   I ordered a takeaway, costing £19.14 with a delivery charge of £1.00, service charge of £0.99 & £0.15 and my delivery has not arrived when it says its been delivered. Companies need to find a way to stop delivery drivers doing this because one it's misleading the customer to believe that the food has not been delivered or its really not been delivered and two, drivers are stealing people's food. The food has just arrived and it 23.06, and it was expected between 22.31-22.45, upon speaking to the driver he said they changed the delivery, no who do I believe him or the shop. Now I tried to call the shop on multiple occasions and they have no contact number, for enquiries. Moving forward I will NOT be delivering from this place as its customer service, well there is none, and the price is absolutely ridiculous.

   So rude. Delivery over an hour late, staff hang up when questioned about time frame. Gave second chance, but worse service second time around. Always lack of drivers. Drivers fault

   Always ordered from here for years ,but have not ordered in the last 3 years ,I ordered a special fried rice and paid for extra meat ,and a special fried rice ,when I got home only to be served with a pancake roll with 3 pieces of bite sized shredded chicken ,and a soggy rice which resembled mash potatoes which I would not even serve to my dog ,I called the shop very politely to tell them being a dissatisfied customer ,and the woman’s reply was that it’s been a busy day and that customers were happy with their food ,thats brilliant customer service ,well my take away went straight into the bin ,come on guys this is not Chinese food ,garbage food yes ,absolutely disgusting no meat in the rice and it’s suppose to be a special special fried rice .Just looking at the decor should have put me off .One star was tooooo much .

   Used to love this place even though delivery was always on the slow side. However they falsely marked themselves as permanently closed on here to avoid further bad reviews and last night I had the worst experience with them they already gave me an extremely long delivery time, but were later than even that. When I checked my delivery, most of it was missing, we are talking two appetisers, three main courses and fried rice. Only noodles and crispy seaweed were there. Of course they conveniently sent the order out so late that they were closed by the time it was delivered. Either they deliberately only delivered these few items or they carelessly left 75% of my order on the side and didn't give it to the delivery driver. Either way it is not good. I was a loyal customer who has been ordering from them for two years. Thankfully I was able to get a full refund from Just Eat but I will never order from Roman Empire again.

   I didnt listen to the reviews . I should have . Ordered through Justeat . Food took over an hour to come. Basically every element of the order was wrong ahaha. Ordered vegetable noodle soup , crispy "snack" noodles came instead . Me and my partner had to share my singular portion of noodles , ordered 10 spring rolls, 8 arrived . 6£ for prawn balls , only 4 in a serving . Ordered a rubicon , it didnt arrive. We only ordered the 10 spring rolls and drink to make enough for the delivery. They took the money and didn't send it anyway . Ahahah, noodles and spring rolls like FINE . Like fine . Dont order here if your someone who likes Chinese food and flavour , don't order here if you like reasonable portions and dont order here if you like to get your correct order ahahaha. Ridiculous. Have a nice day !
