It is best to order the food in person that way you would not get cold/stale food. I waited 25 mins after placing my order in person and the food was piping hot and tasty.
Gah shing used to be nice until they had this nasty man at the front who puts his dirty finger nails and spit comes from his mouth on to the food! The guys more annoyed at his bad English than anything else! He has no service and has let down the shop. The woman and the younger guy are very good! I asked for certain food and he gave me rice drained in sauce which was not what was asked for. I’ve seen the previous reviews and clearly this shop has gone down hill! Never put that man at the front of the shop or you’ll lose customers! Get rid of that old ditty man at the front as he lacks hygiene!
Used to order from Gah Shing regularly, but never again. My daughter found a black pubic or armpit hair in the Chow Mein — completely put us off the meal. Absolutely no care for hygiene, maybe the chef or the delivery driver. Avoid.
Used to love Gah Shing it was our go-to Chinese spot in East London years ago. Visited again after 8 years and honestly, the food was awful. Chow mein and fried rice tasted super artificial, like chemicals instead of seasoning. Chicken satay had no satay flavour at all — just boiled chicken, tons of onions, and thick, horrible sauce. Feels like the place has changed hands. Whatever happened, the quality is completely gone. Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Won’t be going back.
Don't waste your money. Went back years after boycotting this place to give it a chance again. Ordered crispy shredded beef and was asked if I wanted it extra spicy and politely said no. The food was unbearably hot meat was grey and rice drowned in chilli flakes. Never wasting a penny here again
Bad service got order wrong on 2 items and not the first time. When called they tried to blame the order wrong on me. But big difference between asking for Singapore chow main they sent king prawn. At least 3 times did not chop ribs as requested . They still would not admit made a mistake. After ordering there for over 3 years will look for somewhere else. Would not recommend ordering any food from them as a take away as they do not care and won't rectify thier mistakes.
Very very disappointed by the lack of customer service which I received over the phone. We have been ordering for years at this place and unfortunately the changes that we normally were allowed on the set menu weren’t allowed, despite of us changing it for years now and the women over the phone also was very rude and inconsiderate.
2nd time ordering, think i found my new favourite chinese. No complaints food very nice.
Ordering for more than a year from here. One of the best Chinese food takeaways ever. Gah Shing Special Chow Mein is out of this world Fried rice very good Was never left disappointed
Literally the worst Chinese I've had in London so far. The chilli salt chicken wings were refried so many times they were mostly inedible and had to be thrown away. @Gah Shing please note: adding honey to oyster sauce does not create BBQ sauce for ribs, neither does adding chilli flakes to sweet and sour chicken create Kung po prawns. Definitely my first and last order.
