   I booked an appointment on 12/07/2025, paying a £47.60 deposit. The appointment was scheduled for 09/09/2025 but was cancelled on the same day. I was offered 15/09/2025 instead, but couldn’t attend due to a wedding and holiday, and had no chance to rearrange elsewhere at such short notice. Emails have gone unanswered, Facebook messages won’t send, and the app doesn’t allow you to request a refund directly. I’m now having to claim the money back through my bank, which is an inconvenience. As a new customer, this has been a disappointing experience. RESPONSE TO OWNER: After the appointment was cancelled just a few hours before, I agreed to a rearranged date but mentioned that I did not have my diary with me and that it might not be suitable. I have never heard of a business keeping a partial payment under “terms and conditions” when the salon itself made the original same-day cancellation, followed by a rearranged appointment nearly a week later that I was unable to attend. If such terms were provided, they were certainly not made clear at any stage of booking. I did not try to call, so there will be no record on your BT app. As this was a financial matter, I preferred written communication for evidence. Unfortunately, my emails went unanswered and Facebook messages repeatedly bounced back as unsent. I have never had this issue elsewhere, so it may relate to your page settings. The bottom line is that the salon cancelled the original appointment on the same day, and because I could not attend the rearranged date, my £47.60 payment has been kept. I believe future customers should be aware of these practices, and I will continue to pursue a refund through the appropriate channels.

   I couldn't recommend this place enough. Megan is absolutely lovely. I didn't have my eyebrows done for a long time due to anxiety but Megan makes you feel at ease and it doesn't hurt like it does at other places. Definitely recommend.

   It was my first time at Strictly Waxing today and I was made to feel very comfortable, I have quite bad anxiety but Jolene made me feel very comfortable and the procedure was done very professionally and quickly. The salon is very clean and the room is nice and private where you get waxed. I love the way waxing is their main speciality and not just an add on service. I will definitely be back for more treatments. Thank you.

   I have visited the salon today for the first time and I can’t recommend Georgia enough- she was very friendly and professional. I was so worried as have had the treatment done for over a over a year now its safe to say she did such a good job that it did not hurt. I enjoyed the chat too and will be going back there definitely. Oh, loved the salon too, it was clean and really nice inside.

   I’ve been coming to Strictly Waxing for a good few years now and would never go elsewhere! I usually have Zoe or Casey however all of the girls are brilliant and absolutely lovely. I always feel at ease when I go there and the waxing is done quickly, with minimal pain and always lasts long. I really recommend for anyone.

   I came in for shellac removal and a full set of acrylics with shellac overlay. Jolene is lovely and took her time to prep my nails so that my acrylics would last as well as possible, she pays great attention to detail! The selection of colours for both shellac and ordinary polish is fab, and they have every colour glitter you could possibly want. My nails are the perfect shape and have lasted really well. You're really made to feel welcome in this salon, the staff are so friendly and refreshments are offered. I will most definitely be coming back. Thanks so much!
