Great little craft beer place with 11 taps, plus 2 cask and 7 cider. Large and excellent fridge offer with a lot of 750ml bottles . Nice vibe. Short walk outside the centre but well worth the effort.
Small craft beer place towards to the eastern side of the city. You can find the Paddington park bench outside. The venue is quiet small with a selection of beer taps plus a well stocked beer fridge. There are also outside beer benches where you can have an enjoyable beer on a summers evening. Beer staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed it here. If walking from the railway station to the city, do pop in for a beer.
A group of nine of us experienced a beer tasting at That Beer Place and everyone of us had a great experience sampling 7 beers none of had tasted before with detailed descriptions about the beer and tales beyond. Had a lovely time here during our short stay in Chester. There is a great selection of craft ales on tap and in bottles/cans. Plenty of seating on two levels and there is a live beer board. The Lady behind the bar was very friendly and knowledgeable about the types of drinks available. Highly recommend this venue and would visit again !
Of all the drinking establishments in Chester, I think this one is fast becoming my favourite! If you are a fan of craft beer, craft cider, German and Belgian beers then this is definitely somewhere you need to visit!! With around 11 craft beers on tap and a very large selection of bottles and cans in the fridges the different variety of drinks you can have is magnificent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they sure do know what they are talking about when it comes to craft beer.

Simply fantastic beer, but nothing simple about the beer here. Had a lovely stout. Great conversation with the staff, mainly beer focused... who knew.... highly recommended. I believe they have DJ's on sometimes.
Amazing range of beer and cider of all stripes, super cool owners and staff, atmosphere is spot on. Be adventurous with your choices, come prepared to learn many things, and just dive in - it's ace! The rest of the bar crawl rarely happens, we often just go to ground here. Also, the music playlists are equally on point (because that needs mentioning too).
