   Not really sure where to start because from the second I walked through the door, I had a great experience as I was greeted with a friendly smile. Katie is so intuitive, friendly and talented. My hair looks incredible - she really took the time to listen to what I wanted, has managed to fix a shocking cut from a previous salon (which despite me moaning about my previous experience elsewhere because the cut was so bad for my hair type, Katie didn’t enter into any gossip about that which I thought was really professional! She focussed on fixing my hair and making it look amazing!) and she has given my hair a new lease of life. Has boosted my confidence because I feel so good with this colour! It’s rare to find a hairdresser that truly understands reds and coppers, and Katie does. The consultation, the atmosphere, the comfy seats all really add to Katie’s skills. I almost fell asleep when she was washing my hair, and I just need to give a mention to the chairs at the backwash - none of those horrible sinks that dig into the back of your neck! You lie completely back and feel so comfortable, and the head massage whilst being washed was sooooo relaxing, and she asked if the temperature was ok for me (not all salons do this!), didn’t get water all over me (again, this has happened elsewhere before!) and despite the vibrant red colour I’d gone for - I left with not a spot on me. Her application of colour was so precise. She’s amazing at what she does and I’m so bloody happy! The waves she styled are still going strong, and I love that she instinctively knew I don’t like lots of product in my hair, after I told her I don’t spend much time styling - she used a lightweight serum to add extra shine and I was so happy because I hate my hair full of product but do love a good serum! Honestly, she’s so intuitive and if you haven’t had your hair done by her yet then you really should. I’ll definitely be back… well, I already booked my next appointment!

   Come here is you don’t mind having your hair damaged which can take years to repair. I used to use this salon as I noticed though pictures they were great at lighting hair, which is true. However it does come at a cost, the first two times I visited I didn’t notice the damage they had caused (hence why I went back) but by the third time the prices had became extortionate, the staff would crowd around each other gossiping about other people, other workers, boyfriends who were drug dealers etc so casually in front of the clients and overall the service provided was not worth the price, you leave happy as they take pictures of your hair curled, in good lighting and over time once you’re home you realise how much of a mess your hair is, uneven tones, cut terribly etc. Over the past year I have went to a new stylist who is miles better, in a lovely relaxed environment. The stylist I now go to commented on the damaged done by dry and when I mentioned where I previously went she laughed and words to the effect said it’s common when visiting dry for peoples hair to become extremely damaged. At the end of the day it’s just hair and it grows back so that is not what bothers me. The owners daughter opened up her own company and left the salon to do so however it turns out it was all a huge scam and her daughter profited all the money to buy herself holidays, a car. And after this horrible act she’s now happily working back at the salon like nothing has happened. So think twice about who you want to do your hair. If their mother wasn’t the owner I believe a few of the girls wouldn’t even be able to work at any other salon as any professional salon would not have their behaviour and attitude

   Forget it if you have short hair. Booked a short haircut and stylist contacted me the day before my appointment to say she couldn’t cut short hair (yes really), then offered an appointment with a managing director at a £10 supplement (£55!!) because short hair takes longer to cut! Most bizarre experience I’ve had in my 53 years, bonkers ..

   I haven’t had my hair cut since 2019 and they did such an amazing job! I had a big cut and they did a lovely job, all the staff were really nice and polite. Like a lot of people I had cut my own hair over lockdown and no one judge the state my hair was in. I want to give a big thank you to Aimee who was training, they are a credit to the salon. Will definitely be returning!

   Amanda and her team at Dry have kept my hair in great shape for the past couple of years. From the salon owner to the team she trains, everyone understands the look I am after and they have kept my hair healthy and looking great with fantastic cuts and amazing colour. This weekend, visiting for the first time after lockdown restrictions were lifted, I was greeted with the same amazing service with care and attention where safety measures were clearly evident. Thank you Team Dry for bringing my hair back to life!

   Great hairdressers. Amanda and her team are fantastic. They always do a wonderful job colouring and cutting my hair. It’s also a great, relaxing atmosphere, and I always feel that I’ve been well looked after. Can’t wait for my next appointment. I would highly recommend Dry. 5*

   I now live in Yorkshire, but will continue to travel the 2 hours to Dry every couple of months for Olivia to look after my hair, because no-one else has ever looked after my hair so well, gotten it exactly as I want it, or given such a great experience consistently every time I've been there for the last three years. She looked after my colour needs all the way up to my wedding and all of the team are a friendly family who make each visit a pleasure. Today was no exception, and I look forward to my next visit!
