   I've been coming here for over a year having decided to grow my hair long and discovering on doing so that it's very curly! Finding a good hairdresser is akin to finding a good mechanic. Once you have you really don't want to go anywhere else. Rupert has a wealth of experience and knowledge of all things tonsorial relating to curly hair. I highly recommend him. The staff are friendly and welcoming, it's always a pleasure.

   Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Took my son here for a perm — the front of his fringe was left straight. We politely pointed it out, and they corrected it, which was fine. But now they’ve refused to ever do his hair again just because we complained that it wasn’t done properly in the first place! We paid full price and were nothing but respectful. Clearly, they can’t handle any feedback or accountability. Instead of fixing mistakes and keeping customers, they choose to ban people who speak up. Pathetic way to run a business. Avoid if you value professionalism or basic customer care.

   I’m a 24 year old man who had never been to a hair salon before so I had little to none prior knowledge of hair colouring, therefore the prospect of bleaching my hair seemed very daunting. For this reason I googled the best rated mens salon in Manchester and ended up here. From start to finish I cannot fault my experience at Rupert Hayes Hair. Booking a consultation online was very quick and easy. I was pre-called to confirm my appointment and also given directions over the phone as it’s not the easiest place to find. This impressed me and gave me confidence in the professionalism of the business. I was greeted by Sallie who instantly made me feel comfortable and welcome. My appointment was with Georgia who also made me feel this way. She managed to answer all of my questions and gave me all the advise I needed. I needed my hair coloured asap so we discussed a rough day and time the following week. By the time I swapped my own rota the appointment had sadly gone. This put a spanner in the works for me but Sallie was straight back on the phone to me after luckily they had a cancellation! Again very impressive and efficient customer service! I was sent a photo of a test strand of my hair so I could see the colour to confirm I liked it and wanted to go ahead. I wasn’t sure if I wanted fully bleached hair or just blonde highlights but I was allowed as long as I wanted to decide; right up to the point where I’m sat in the chair! I decided to go with the highlights which was carried out by Georgia with a bit of assistance from Ellie. This was all new to me so she made special effort to explain what she was doing and made sure I was feeling ok with every step of the process. My hair was also cut perfectly by Emma who was also lovely. I absolutely love my new hair. It’s even better than I had imagined! Without a doubt I will be returning here for my routine hair maintenance!

   I popped here for a fringes trim simply because they had slots available that day. I was very glad I did. Loved the fringe, the hairdresser listened to what I wanted and delivered perfectly. The staff were all very friendly and for me a real bonus was that they were wearing masks. I looked at prices for a full cut for the future which to be honest seem a little pricey but given my experience I feel like they may be worth the little extra.

   I'm male and have never been anywhere but standard bloke's barbers before. I'd let my hair grow to a messy curly mop and decided to try a 'proper haircut' for the first time. I wanted something other than my usual 'number 4 on the sides and short on top'. Rupert was excellent and my overall experience was first class. I got sound advice about my hair and I love the way it looks. I was even given a lovely gift at the end of my appointment. Highly recommended.

   I have always had very short hair and Emma cut it beautifully. However with lockdown hair had obviously grown. I had no idea what I wanted with my hair Emma gave me a curly bob as she said it would suit my now very curly hair. I felt absolutely fabulous after my cut wonderful cut. Highly recommend
