I’ve been here several times for a year, but unfortunately the quality of the food and the management seems getting worse. The fries didn’t seem fresh, the Udon noodles were too soft, they couldn’t serve Bento Boxes even though there were on the menu. I guess the number of staff members is not sufficient to keep the good operation. I hope these will get better soon.

If you're looking for a dining experience that embodies fresh and healthy Japanese cuisine, Marugame Udon Japanese Restaurant is the place to go. Their hand-crafted udon noodles are made daily, ensuring a delightful, chewy texture that pairs perfectly with a variety of savory broths and toppings. The menu also features a selection of tempura and other traditional Japanese dishes that complement the udon beautifully. The atmosphere is welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual lunches and a cozy dinner. I highly recommend visiting Marugame Udon for an authentic taste of Japan that prioritizes quality and freshness.

I ordered Yakisoba Tofu with deliveroo and this is what I got - I’m trying to mix as much as I can to get some flavour at least. This franchise is usually so good but.. this was disappointing. So dry and no vegetables. So much respect for the hard workers who are on shift during bank holidays, but on the other end, this is my dinner after a long day. I had expectations because I have already been in this chain and the picture was quite clear about what at I was supposed to receive. I am so sorry, but I paid for this meal, and you are paid to make it. Consistency please.

3 days ago I ordered these “ Yasikaba-style tofu” and “pumpkin Korokke” with my girlfriend and since then we have a massive stomach issue due to those dishes. we don’t know how fresh the food is. The attention is quite confusing , we ordered and we didn’t know what to do afterwards. Overall not good quality, just the looks.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in London, tasty and delicious, friendly and welcoming staff preparing each meal in less than a minute, clean and tidy seating, kids set meal, really good sized portions, obviously if you pay for a small you will get a small portion. Highly recommended, definitely going to repeat the experience. We had the salmon Teriyaki with rice, and the chicken katsu with noodles which is halal.

Perfect food for cold and rainy weather. Ordered the chicken katsu curry udon and it was really nice. The chicken katsu was very crispy on the outside with thick cut of meat and it wasn't oily. Curry sauce was slightly salty for my own liking but I love the variety of complimentary toppings you can get on the side. Tempuras were nice as additional sides with the dipping sauce. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere, great for both dates and family meals.

Marugame Udon Brentcross. We saw this new restaurant in brentcross it is located on the opposite to wagamama. When you order the food for example noodles you can see the staff how they prepare your noodles, first time I see that. Now the food. It taste nice I forgot what I only remembered tempura. I suggest when you order the food start with small or medium size because I find it heavy in my stomach after I ate. The place was clean it was not busy that time when we went.

The manager was friendly and kind, but the staffs were not trained properly at all. I saw the review mentioning about hygiene but they don't seem they improved. 5 staffs behind the counter kept chit chatting while cooking udon, they don't wear any mask or groves, soaking the fingers into tempura batter directly. I wanted to try tempura but it made me not to. The taste was fine, but because of the slow service (the staff looked she didn't know how to proceed) udon wasn't hot already at the table. Free topping of spring onion or ginger etc were nice, but tempura dough looked very oily which should be crispy and dry. I had nikutama-udon but didn't feel like it was worth, if I'll visit again I'll try kake or BK plus egg topping.

First visit today, not busy as it was near closing time. We had the Two Pork Tonkotsu and Chicken Paitan. Staff were all friendly, nice and helpful. Pleasant atmosphere. The Udon is absolutely delicious and freshly made. We didn't have to add any condiments as the flavour were perfect for us. Truly enjoyable. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Authentic udon noodle in London is hard to find. Marugame Brent Cross reminds us of our times in Hong Kong and Taiwan, where Japanese ingredients and family restaurants are easily accessible. Marugame's food is rightly priced and tempura is fried to the best state. Nicole, our waitress on the floor was proactive and made sure the food tastes good and ice water is provided. Will definitely visit again.
