   I dropped into the shop at late notice after being let down at the barbers down the road, which was closed when I turned up (early) for my appointment. James was very welcoming and sat me down straight away even though it was towards the end of the day and he was going on holiday the next morning. He was charming and warm, got me a cup of tea and made sure I was comfortable. He's an incredibly attentive barber that takes pride in his work, and goes the extra mile to make sure customers get what they want. Sometimes barbers can phrase things in quite weird/technical ways and you just give them a bemused nod and hope for the best. James would ask me what I wanted at every stage of the trim, and explained things very clearly. He also always offered to start long and go shorter if preferred, just to be on the safe side. I work in town so to be honest it's a pain getting my haircut in Didsbury. I did it out of habit with the previous barber, but thought that at least with them letting me down I could get it sorted more conveniently in town moving forward. James has immediately thrown a spanner in the works - I'll be going back out of my way and selecting him every time now.

   The staff here are always lovely, you always get asked why you want and they take instruction well, or will suggest options if you are feeling a bit clueless. I think they are good value, you can book online in advance which i would suggest if you are going on a weekend on Friday, you can on the odd occasion do a walk-in but don't count on it. Clean shop, lovely chats and chilled clientele. Perfect.

   This is my go to in Manchester. I personally use James and he always does my hair exactly as I want (which isn’t an easy job!!). Can’t recommend this place enough. Always busy and always really friendly staff too!

   Absolutely horrendous! I have been left with some type of Combe over and random long hairs. My crown sticks up as it’s not properly been cut. I can truly say this was the worst hair cut I’ve ever had! I’ve had so many negative comments from friends and family and it’s embarrassing! I wouldn’t recommend getting your hair cut by the balding guy. The other guy that works there did a good job previously.
