Amazing food, katsu curry and bbq chilli endamame especially, the atmosphere was very nice. The customer service was top tier, everyone was so nice and understanding. The French toast with matcha ice cream was as good as advertised. 100% recommend.

I recently dined at this casual Japanese-Korean fusion spot and left with a generally positive impression, though the value for money fell short of expectations. The dishes were skillfully prepared and flavorful. The stone pot crab porridge stood out for its comforting richness, enhanced by contrasting textures from crispy shallots and puffed rice. The Japanese curry rice delivered balanced spice and umami, crowned with a perfectly runny egg. The fried pork skewers were crisp on the outside, juicy within, and served as an excellent accompaniment. That said, portion sizes felt modest relative to the pricing. Given the informal setting and straightforward ingredients, the cost seemed a touch high. The quality is undeniable, making it a worthwhile visit if budget is not a primary concern.Verdict: 2/5 – strong execution and taste, but slightly overpriced for the portion and setting. I’d return, though not urgently.

Went for lunch on a Saturday....the Express menu is good value for money. You can't substitute items on there and pay the difference. (I wanted to try their prawn toast). The tuna taco was a great shout. The salmon was also really good. Dessert outdid my expectations. Would recommend a visit!

We were excited to finally try Shack-Fuyu after hearing great things. We booked in advance, and it was packed when we arrived. Between us, we shared: Izakaya - tenderstem broccoli, edamame, wagyu beef tataki, crispy fried squid, Okonomiyaki prawn toast Raw - seared salmon sashimi Hot Stone - sukiyaki wagyu beef, pulled lamb Robata - grilled salmon fillet Dessert - kinako French toast The salmon dishes were the standouts - perfectly cooked and full of flavour. I’m more of a savoury person, but even I loved the French toast. The broccoli and lamb were also really solid picks. Overall, the food was good. Unfortunately, the experience let it down. We were seated next to a loud table who arrived after us but were served first, and they spent the evening shouting across the table. Our drinks took 25 minutes to arrive, and we had to ask multiple times - even though we could see them sitting at the bar. We were also served the wrong dishes more than once and had to chase missing items. At the end, we were even given the wrong bill. I get that it was busy, but the service felt chaotic throughout, with no apology or effort to make up for it. Glad we tried it, but I probably wouldn’t go back. For the price, we expected a better overall experience. — Edit: despite a comment on this review asking me to get directly in touch i’ve since emailed the provided address and received no response

Great selection of menu items, we were pleasantly surprised by the serving sizes and flavour profile. The French toast and matcha ice cream is a must have for dessert. The Shack’s spritz was a very nice Japanese take on a classic cocktail. Perfect for a nice warm Summer’s day. The quality of the service was superb, the staff were very friendly.

Really delicious Korean fried wings, kimchi hot Stone fried rice and tacos! The Kinako French toast indeed didn't disappoint, it was just sweet enough, with the matcha soft serve it was perfect! The only thing I wouldn't order again are the salmon and tuna tacos, they weren't exactly what I enjoyed eating because it felt a little weird to have raw fish in tacos but this is just my personal opinion. It's definitely on the pricey side so probably wouldn't come often but it's a good place for either dates or work dinners.

Great service and excellent food. Rare 5 stars from me. We tried many items off the menu and they were all well prepared, perfectly seasoned and packed full of flavour. Stand out for me was the pulled lamb and pork steamed buns. I wish they were closer to my area so I could go there all the time :)

Absolutely wonderful service, food and atmosphere. Really loved dining here with my partner on the weekend. We felt relaxed and at ease. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. The dessert was phenomenal and we're looking forward to our next visit a lot.

Excellent food. The veggie fried rice was very well-seasoned and was so tasty. I think this is the best fried rice I’ve had while eating out. The french toast is a must-try dessert. The bread is warm and the toast texture pairs well with the soft matcha. It was a good dinner experience and will definitely come back to try more vegetarian items on the menu!

We had a great lunch here! The miso aubergine dish was our favourite. The staff were super accommodating, they managed to fit us in without a reservation and were very friendly. Definitely worth a visit :)
