Very homely little place and the server lady is extremely nice. I'm very picky when it comes to Japanese food but the ramen and the karaage was really good. Prices are reasonable. 10/10 would come here again

Oishi! Excellent, authentic Japanese cuisine. We had a selection of udon, ramen and donburi dishes plus a cocktail some sake, karage and takoyaki. This tasted every bit as delicious as in Japan and felt very authentic. Our kids really enjoyed their food too. The service was kind and attentive. An excellent place to eat Japanese food in the City.

My boyfriend and I were craving ramen/udon after a long flight and found this hidden gem. The place had a cool aura playing music but your still able to speak and a video on a projector that played a movie. It’s really clean and I had not been this happy to eat Beef udon since I was in Japan a year ago, I was nervous to try the karaage since it looks a bit like a chicken nugget (as you can see from the picture) but I was shocked by how much flavor and moisture it had. The Beef ramen my boyfriend ordered had a rich broth and he had every last sip of it, so flavourful and refreshing at the same time, we also got the chicken skewers and takayuki and we loved them. The drinks Yuzu Sour and a summer cocktail were delicious and if we had time for more drinks we would have been there all day. All the food really brought a smile to my face. Staff were really nice and service was fantastic. Only downside is there isn’t a lot of seats there but it gave off an authentic Japanese isakaya feel that was homey.

I recently visited Donburi and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great spot for both a quick meal and a relaxed catch-up with friends. I tried both the ramen and udon, and each bowl was cooked perfectly. The noodles had just the right texture – firm yet springy – and the broth was rich in flavour without being too salty. You can really taste the quality in the ingredients, and the portions are generous for the price, which I found very fair compared to similar places in the area. The staff were a highlight of my visit. They greeted me warmly, checked in during the meal, and genuinely seemed to care about the customer’s experience. It’s the kind of friendly service that makes you want to come back again and again. Donburi strikes a great balance between value, taste, and service. Whether you’re craving a comforting bowl of ramen or a satisfying serving of udon, this is definitely a place worth trying. I’m already planning my next visit to sample more from their menu. Highly recommended for noodle lovers in search of good food at a fair price.

We had a tasty meal, one bowl of udon, one bowl of ramen, and tofu with natto, plus a surprisingly nice cold green tea from a can. Food was prepared quickly, everyone was very friendly, we ate at a high top table outside. The atmosphere is not “special”- it is simple and perfect for what it is. Don’t go expecting fancy- expect good food, friendly service, and very affordable.

Amazing food and fasr service. Too bad it's only open for lunch which can be quite a queue.

I had Katsu Chicken Curry. Unfortunately the chicken was inedible. Rubbery, slimey, strange textured chicken. Really gross!

Quick. Good value to price. Authentic. Tasty. Only downside was that I love carrot and potato in my Japanese curry and there’s none…
