   Unless Chris is there it rarely opens at 9am as it is supposed to. You could be waiting 10, 15 , 20 mins before someone else decides to get out of bed and open up shop. That said, you usually get a good haircut

   I am disgusted and appalled by the way the ignorant staff at Barbershop by Timpson have treated my 13 year old son who has Autism, special needs and mental health difficulties. My son has been an Inpatient at Cheadle Royal Hospital for a year and a half and has visited the barbers which is located in the Sainsbury's of Heald Green on two occasions. Yesterday on Friday 5th April 2024 my son's carers attempted to take my son to the Barbershop only to be met by hostile staff who were extremely rude to my son. When my son arrived the staff said "Not you again, you are a nightmare" and then proceeded to be rude and ignorant to my son who was attempting to make conversation with them. Because my son is Autistic his social skills can be awkward but he attempts to make conversation and get to know people. The barbers at the shop responded to him by being extremely rude, telling him to wait outside for 20 minutes and then when my son was finally in the chair they ignored him whilst he attempted to talk to them, and then one barber made an inappropriate accusation to my son, before saying "We don't care what difficulties you have". The hospital staff accompanying my son then had no choice but to end the visit to the barbers and remove my son from the situation, who by that point had become extremely upset and triggered by the situation. Going for a haircut is something which Autistic people can find extremely difficult to do and no doubt this incident has put my son off wanting to go out for his hair cut. The manner in which the staff at Barbershop by Timpson treated by son, even after knowing that he has special needs is nothing short of disgusting and appalling. My son has been left extremely distressed and upset by this incident. If this is the way people with disabilities are treated in this establishment then these people should not be in business offering services to the general public. Their attitudes are absolutely disgusting. I will be putting in a formal complaint against this business and seeing to it that people are made aware of the discriminatory attitudes and ignorance of staff at this Barbershop towards Autistic people and those with hidden disabilities. They should be utterly ashamed.

   Would hugely recommend this place. I’d never been before but was in a rush to get a beard trim and my usual place had closed early. I got there just as the (manager?) was counting up and knocked on the window anyways despite the closed sign. The guy opened the door and was incredibly kind and generous, he agreed to the beard trim. Despite already being done for the day, he went above and beyond and neatened up my eye brows and hair too without me asking. He Did a fantastic job, and didn’t rush either. Was super talkative despite having a long day. Great guy! Thanks man

   Best Barbers around and amazing prices with fantastic customer service every time. It was by pure luck that I was passing by and needed my ears lowering and it was by chance Chris was working. Such a fantastic barber, who knew what I wanted, he even made recommendations and his service and cut was the best I've had. Considering I used to pay nearly £40 for the exact same cut I get from Chris is mad. He is also the only barber who knows how to cut my fringe. I have been back several times now and always have Chris cut my hair and let him make recommendations everytime. I need to say that reading the reviews and what that horrid woman Maria has said about Chris is utter rubbish!!! I can guarantee you that Chris is no way like that at all and that Maria clearly must of been in a foul mood. Please don't let her really awful review put you of having your hair cut by Chris as he is THE best in the business. All I can say is that Maria and her review does not reflect Chris at all and I promise that if you do visit you will see for yourself. He did an amazing cut for me, had a good chat and a joke about the crazy world we live in and he is professional, polite with top notch customer service. For the price too, you cannot go wrong. They also offer nose and ear waxing which I though would kill but I didn't feel a thing and the difference it made. Seriously ignore Maria's review as it truly is not a true reflection of Chris or his professionalism at all and that she must of been clearly in a bad mood. Give it a go and you won't be disappointed at all.

   Went in on a weekend and got served by Charlotte really lovely girl done everything I wanted also the skinfade was amazing she made sure it was all good before I left really good barber I would recommend to anybody. One of the best barbers in Manchester

   Good cut, staff are friendly and offer a relaxed vibe. Reasonably priced too. Can get busy towards the middle of the day so recommend getting in early. I think it's walk in only rather than being able to book unless covid restrictions are in place. Would definitely go again
