Wow. I am incredibly sorry that I ended up at this place for beard maintenance trim. Told the guy how to and how much to trim i.e. straighten the lines. Told him specifically that I wanted to keep the length- 20 seconds in, he's taken 2 inches off! It took every atom in my body to keep my composure. It was so bad that I asked him he'd done enough, came home and straighten the lines myself. If you want a beard trim, you're better off taking to yourself with a hedge trimmer blindfolded rather than these novices. Completely and utterly incompetent. I had to give them one star because I couldn't give them any less.

So I can understand Mr McGregor's frustration with his 1 star review. I walked in as a first time customer to the Cutting Corner and was asked by a young guy working there, "what would I like"? I replied "a skin fade, please". He asked me, if I would like a 1 or a zero, which is a little strange to ask. I replied, "Zero". The barber then proceeded to give me a regular hair cut with a grade 1 around the sides and back without any skin fade at all. I was not in the mood for arguing as the haircut he gave me was perfectly fine, just simply not what I asked for. I was charged the price of a regular haircut and not a skinfade, so I just left it at that. There are too many barbers on every high street, so each barber only gets one chance to shine. Dear Cutting Corners, if you cut corners, you miss out on repeat business. Sorry for the pun.

Pretty bad place for a haircut. Cheapest around because they just simply are NOT good at what they do. I've gone there for a cut 3-4 times now, been seen by the two main guys that work there. BOTH OF THEM are unable to do a proper skin fade, and both work way too fast like it's a race. My cut is simple, you fade the sides and leave the top and last time I was there, the barber literally ignored that request and cut the top of my head. So I asked him why he cut that part and he just said sorry. Take your money elsewhere, as I know I will NEVER go back to this place. There's plenty other good barbers around. Deniz is much better.

Good barbers apart from the young one. Asked for a 0.5 medium fade and he decided to go with a high skin fade and chopping all my hair off, making me look bald.Been going for about 2 years now and he has let them down. Will not be going again.

Nice place and friendly barbers who are good at what they do. There is no appointment option, just drop in and you'll be served when your turn comes. The radio is usually turned on and the waiting sofas are quite comfortable. The place is situated on a corner at street intersection, likely where the name comes from. If you are lucky you may find a parking space just outside the barber shop, if not then a bit forward in any direction. When you decide to go there, make sure you got cash as they don't seem to have card payment option.

Very cute and warm atmosphere in this barber shop. The wood set up is awesome and gives you a sort of home feeling during the winter. The staff is very kind and always available to your request. I decided to leave a review after my second time in this barber. I literally tried 6 of them to finally find something that suit me, for the price and the skills of the barber. Any detail and any request have been accepted and quickly applied. I think that the price is very competitive for the hole Manchester. Highly recommended for long beard and perfect hair shade.
